Electro-House, House | The Robot Dentist ft Aaron Knute – Here Forever
Posted by VMan on July 19, 2013
A few weeks back I was put onto The Robot Dentist, the winner of The Discovery Project EDC New York, by his manager Graham. He recently sent over this track that we shouldn’t sleep on. I’ve personally had this track on repeat all morning. “Here Forever” is anthemic, melodious, and has all the right drops to get everyone dancing and raging. Aaron Knute’s folksy vocals also elevate this track to a whole other level, almost reminding me of Avicii’s latest release “Wake Me Up.” This track is a must listen and a must download!

Mix | Brian Kramer – Deep Summer Mix
Posted by Juicebox on July 16, 2013
I hate myself for not finding this earlier, but the Brian Kramer delivers the best mix of summer I’ve come across. It’s always nice when you find someone who can pump out an hour mix that isn’t overloaded with the same top Beatport tracks that everyone (including your little sister) is using in their sets. With airy vocals, downtempo beats, and a few surprises; this deephouse mix is the perfect hour of music for any occasion. Whether you’re lying by the pool or driving with the windows down…try something new, check out this mix, and thank me later.
Electro-House, Preview | Showtek Feat. We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson – Booyah (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 13, 2013

Hardstyle ambassadors to the electro scene and the creators of some of the biggest tracks in the recent couple years (including some or many of Tiesto’s), Showtek preview their latest output alongside We Are Loud and Sonny Wilson on vocals. This reggae infused track combines the hard-hitting electro-style (electro house and hardstyle, I may have just been made up right now) sound they have crafted for themselves in the past few years that others have rushed to try and copy, with both some rock and reggae elements in the instrumental and vocals that really give the track its character. As usual, you can expect a well-produced track and something that could creep its way into sets this summer as a change of pace from many of the generic minimal drops being produced now. Release is coming August 19th on Spinnin, so you will have to wait over a month for this.
Progressive House | Dannic – Ignite
Posted by Middy on July 4, 2013
While it can be a bit disheartening to see artists copy themselves pretty severely, like Firebeatz did with “Gangsta” after “Dear New York”, or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have done with “Chattahoochee” after “Wakanda”, it is understandable to see them attach themselves to a distinguishing style they have come up for themselves. “Ignite” could be put in that category, but has enough unique characteristics to be seen as a different track. As a follow-up on Toolroom Records, “Ignite” builds on much of the same formula as his previous single “Clobber“, that remains a mainstay of many sets around the world. Keeping the unmistakable groove and funk that is found in “Clobber”, Dannic switches up the bridge and adds a subtle, tougher sound to its distinguishing features. “Clobber” may still remain the favorite of many DJs, but “Ignite” will be a great update as the Northern Hemisphere festival season comes into full swing.

Trance | Audien – Iris
Posted by Middy on July 3, 2013
It has been a big week for Audien. First he released his followup to “Wayfarer”, that saw support from artists all across the dance music spectrum like Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Armin van Buuren, Knife Party & Madeon, and now today added to the already star-studded Electric Zoo lineup. “Iris” carries that Audien sound with sweeping synth chords, atmospheric pads, delicate key play and a subtle, grinding low-end. Expect to hear this often on trance stages and throughout festivals during the summer as it creeps into artists sets and up the charts.
Progressive House | Arty – EDC Las Vegas Set
Posted by mimada on June 28, 2013

Listening to Arty is the closest I think I’ll ever come to the feeling of flying, which probably explains why I got a $400 speeding ticket while playing his Identity mix on a recent road trip (Texas cops are ruthless, mane). I don’t want to dwell on how upset I am that I didn’t get to see Arty live because this mix is just that good that it makes up for it. Arty starts this set out softly and compassionately, then sweeps you away with the Mikkas remix of “Rewind” and then hits you in the face with some Wolfgang Gartner “Space Junk.” I really lost it when the “We Are Your Friends” vocals made a surprise appearance during “Mozart.” I would do horrible things to have been there, going deaf at the front of the crowd, because my Logitech speakers are just not doing this set any justice, and they’re also not masking the sounds of my FOMO induced sobs. Next year…
Also, be sure check out this preview for his latest track, “Grand Finale,” featuring ethereal vocals from Fiora. Can’t wait for this release.
