On April 21st, ECL Group’s Electric Candy Land Events, a top-tier New York-based EDM events promoter, will be launching their first ever ALL AGES EDM SERIES at the legendary concert and nightlife venue, Highline Ballroom. Electric Candy Land Events was responsible for numerous shows in 2013 at venues such as the newly minted Stage 48 with top artists like Tim Mason, Hard Rock Sofa, Eva Shaw, Chuckie, and The Chainsmokers as they build momentum into the spring of 2014.

Over the course of the past few months, we have watched Vonny Del Fresco transform his raw potential (seen in, Noir Designer) to a sound completely his own and easily digestible by a wide array of listeners.
Del Fresco has just released After It All, a second EP in the seemingly connected series of short projects he has been putting out. In comparison to his previous project, After The Fall, After It All is incredibly more refined. From the production of Kingston, BNJMN and Cam Wallace all the way to the features of Dee Phresh and Carpe DM, Vonny Del Fresco is making it clear that he is not simply another rapper to get lost in the vast abyss of internet rap.

As I sit here writing this post, I find it very difficult to describe Jacuzzi and the genre which he has begun to take over. The newest offering “Torture” features Soulection’s own, Mr. Carmack and combines everything from trap to house. The song is a mere 1:31 seconds long, so enjoy it while you can and don’t sleep on Jacuzzi any longer than you have already.
“Torture” is included in Part 1 of the ‘Seppuku’ series, meaning that with any luck we will be hearing more from the producers, soon!
Progressive House | Chris Avantgarde feat. Joel Edwards – Rise Up

Next up on Chris Avantgarde’s series of free releases is “Rise Up”, a vocal progressive house song with Joel Edwards. Each of the tracks he has given away so far has been in a different style as the previous, but for this one he is giving us an older song he made back at his old studio in Germany. It has the same feel good sound as his previous original “Colours” and just may be his best track yet.

Dash Berlin is the one of the preeminent trance DJ’s in the world. He routinely kills it with his “ASOT” series. He played so many gems over the weekend. In fact, Hardwell even showed up on his night off which signals he may be experimenting with new genres. What was most impressive, however, was the ID Dash played starting at 11:11. I know we know that voice from somewhere but can’t place it. What I do know is that it sounds like it could become one of the biggest trance songs to release in 2014.

To be entirely honest, I’ve been pretty disappointed with some of the new-age, more fratty rap that’s been coming out recently; but when Bijan hit me up with this track the other day, I couldn’t help but be pleasantly surprised. Featuring the hook from Lorde’s “Team,” the Bay Area native throws down a series of outrageously chill verses on an original beat by Monaco, taking his game to the next level.
