Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Marc Goone – I Am Not a Lobster Ok (Album)
Posted by J_Salzer on May 14, 2013
Fresh New Tracks has always supported Marc Goone. I think he has the talent, and personality, to go a long way in the music industry. His latest tape, does nothing but raises by already high regard for him. Every song is unique, and his cadence and voice are something copycat rappers should strive for. His beat selection, often courtesy of Zuxwitit and Judge, is constantly changing and adapting to his ever improving and ever changing rap style. If you find me another rapper with the same style as Marc Goone, I’ll send you to the A&R’s at Def Jam, because that’s who you should be working for. Even if Marc isn’t your cup of tea, you would have to agree that he is unique, and that’s one thing I look for in the over-satured game of internet rappers. Stream the mixtape below via soundcloud and buy it on iTunes here.
Bootleg, Mashups | Kap Slap – Bootie Bundle Volume 1
Posted by Juicebox on January 15, 2013
Well, Kap Slap, you did it again. You took all my favorite house tracks and made them that much better. Hat’s off to Kap Slap as usual. His latest project, entitled, “Bootie Bundle Volume 1” (a play on bootleg for those of you who didn’t catch that) might be his best release yet. Not only does the mixtape have 17 brand new tracks, but it features a wide array of genres of EDM tracks; some of his track selection may surprise you…in the best way possible. Below is my favorite track from the tape and a two click download link for the whole mixtape!

It is time for the weekend and since I missed last week, there is going to be A LOT of mixes in this post. I have about 24 hours of music and all of it good. We start things off with Hardwell’s yearmix that goes through his accomplished discography from this year and a selection of tracks from his label, Revealed Recordings. Next up is from yearmix from Nicky Romero that includes his numerous releases from this year and the unreleased “Symphonica”. Hook N Sling provides us with his take on 2012 in a high energy, bootleg heavy mix. Young Polish Dj Tom Swoon goes the extra mile and gives us 61 tracks in 2 hours for his year end mix, traversing genres from electro to trance to progressive.
After the jump we have the two latest episodes of The Drop that include exclusives from both guest mixers, Qulinez & Synchronice. Next week they are celebrating their 50 episode with mixes from Djs like Leon Bolier, Lazy Rich & Maor Levi all week so head to their Facebook page for full details. Cover | Collin McLoughlin – Video Games (Cover)
Posted by GMONEY on March 12, 2012
Collin Mcloughlin’s latest cover of Lana Del Rey’s Video Games is nothing short of a masterpiece. His raw composition skills really show through with the unique construction of the drum loop, in which he compressed sounds made from back of his guitar. ONce again Collin delivers an unforgettable performance, and this time he has a special purposed for releasing his video:
I am putting this cover out is to help promote my selection for a chance to play at the Billboard Music Awards. I was chosen as one of 18 finalists for the slot, and I need to get more votes than the other two people in my bracket to be able to perform in Vegas amongst some of the biggest stars in music.
Collin works tirelessly to put out amazing videos and free music for you to enjoy. Help him out by voting here, and here, and one more time for good measure (you can vote as many time as you want).
DJ-Set, Electro-House, Progressive House | Essential Mix & Selection W/ Madeon, Porter Robinson & Chuckie
Posted by Middy on January 29, 2012
On Friday night, BBC Radio One had a special show from Hull in England with Pete Tong’s Essential Selection show that included a spectacular 20 minute guest set from Madeon, included below, as well as a bonus 4 hours of Essential Mixes from Chuckie, Porter Robinson, Fedde Le Grand (not recorded) and Judge Jules to finish off a marathon night at Hull. Chuckie puts together a fantastic set with some of his new stuff such as his upcoming single “Together”, with his impeccable ability as a live Dj and great song selection. The mix that really stood out for me was Porter Robinson because as his is such as good live Dj, which seems to be a lost art these days and as a 19 year old, it is even more impressive. He is able to flawlessly mix together multiple songs, two or three or more at time, to create ridiculous bootlegs that will always keep you on your toes with a fantastic song selection. Listen to the sets on the BBC Radio One website or download them below. Tracklists after the jump.

Albums, Hip-Hop | EmB – The Establishment
Posted by W8 on December 30, 2011
EmB is new to my ears by only a few minutes, and is quite the refreshment. Aging like vintage wine, EmB at only 19 years old has soaked up a buffet of wizardry he’d like to share with us. His voice is a mixture of AZ & Mase with subject matter that puts both to shame making them look like the young ones. What first caught my ear is EmB’s vast selection of instrumentals that show his class for music of all kinds. Furthermore his interludes give hints of inspiration ranging from Tupac Shakur, Charlie Chaplin and one of the greatest philosophers the worlds ever had the privilege of learning from – Krishnamurti. EmB writes in his biography – taking shots at the mainstream and people who just can’t lend their ears for a minute and listen to some music with any type of direction. Of course I agree with that. Be sure to check his earlier project Brain Waves on Bandcamp. Shout out to Fly in the cbox for putting me on to this.
