What an ill track. Seriously, this one takes the cake for my post. Add catchy synths and a pronounced bassline to some accentuated choruses and you’re good to go. This hybrid d-floor/chillin track will give your earbuds a taste of something different.
Must Download: Yeasayer – One (Build & Clancy Remix) DOPE!
Everyone and their mothers took a stab at remixing Chromeo’s hit “Night by Night,” but few productions piqued my interest like this one. Not too heavy, but not too slow either. Really digging some of the new sounds like the banjo synth that “Kill Them With Color” utilizes.
Must Download: Chromeo – Night By Night (Kill Them With Color Remix)
Punks Jump Up produces some bangin remixes.. I’m not sure if it’ll grab as much attention as their rendition of Animals, but it’s definitely a solid add to the tunes library.
Must Download: Miami Horror – Moon Theory (Punks Jump Up Remix)
Not much to say about this one, it’s difficult to sabatoge a soon-t0-be timeless track like Grum’s Heartbeat (which incidentally received some of the highest DL numbers last month). Worship revamps and spices things up nicely with this one, so If you’ve already overplayed the original song, download this track.
Download: Grum – Heartbeats (Worship Remix)
For good measure I had to include a track from Breakbot (pictured above). The guy’s a serial producer of bangers.
Download: Breakbot – Baby I’m Yours (Aeroplane Remix)

Two words: Cable Guy, ahh the nostalgic power that music possesses. Even a glorified techno remix reminds me of the scene I repeatedly watched as a 10 year old (posted above) where Jim Carrey lays down an unmistakeable rendition of Jefferson Airplanes hit “Somebody To Love”.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Jefferson Airplane – Somebody To Love (Enjoy DJs Remix)[DJ BIGLIFE EDIT]
One of the first techno-ish tracks to pique my interest and provoke the horrible musical obsession I cope with now was “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit”. Therefore most remixes, bootlegs, blends, etc. leave something to be desired. However, after putting a personal spin on this one, it’s unique enough to keep my ears tame for a minute. If you vibed to the original version cop this, otherwise you should probably skip it.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Ferhat Project & Hakan Keles – Put Your Hands Up For Detroit 2010 [DJ BIGLIFE EDIT]
Are three must downloads really necessary? Absolutely. Obviously every track I touch (BIGLIFE EDIT) is a must download so that’s why this post has more MD’s than usual. Im not afraid to admit I love the up-beat classic electro sound of Eiffel 65. I remember roller blading around rinks to this in CA (step up from cotillion since it was sort of socially acceptable and you could ask girls to take romantic slow skates around the rink… any takers out there on this?) so I happen to love any worthy edit to this song.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Eiffel 65 – Move Your Body (DJ’s From Mars Club Remix) Another classic in my early career
What do you get when you take 1 part electro pop synth (La Roux) and 1 part dancehall soca (Major Lazer)? A completely singular sound… I’m shocked that two unlike vibes can mesh together so flawlessly. The Bulletproof remix can’t be passed up.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Major Lazer & La Roux – Bulletproof (Nacey Remix ft. Matt Hemerlein)
Download: Major Lazer & La Roux ft. Gyptian – Hold Yuh (Double Dubplate)
BONUS BANGERS
DOWNLOAD: Ian Carey Feat. Mandy Ventrice – Let Loose (Radio Edit) Love Carey
Miley Cyrus – Can’t Be Tamed (Wideboys Stadium Club Mix)
The White Panda – The Next Starf*cker (Snoop & Dre meet Starfucker)

We’ve posted a few filty Grum remixes in the past, but never featured any official Grum tracks. After dropping his mixtape in April, the French Disco-Electro DJ caught more than a few eyes and for good reason. I’m all over the “Heartbeats” song posted below, it’s simple yet powerful.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Grum – Heartbeats FILTHY
DOWNLOAD: Grum – Cant Shake This Feeling
How could we not showcase an indie electronic band hailing from one of our hubs? This Dallas, Texas dance rock group draws from artists such as Cut Copy, Justice, MSTRKRFT, and a few other FNT favs to produce a dynamic sound that mixes groovy dance beats with catchy vocals. It would be a sin to pass up their rendition of Rick James’ “Give It To Me Baby”.
MUST DOWNLOAD: Rick James – Give It To Me Baby (Glasnost Remix)
Download: Yeasayer – O.N.E. (Glasnost Remix)
Here are two additional noteworthy Electro tracks:
Download: The Good Natured – Your Body Is A Machine (Baby Monster Remix)
Download: Ellie Goulding – Guns And Horses (Tonka Remix)
Bonus Rap:
Mark Morrison feat. Warren G – B’day FIRE
Young Riot – So Wavy (Main) Remix of Salt n Peppers hit – DOPE
Red Cafe – Seen Money feat Akon
UPDATE: Earlier this week I tried to post the song below, but linked it to the wrong track, sorry. This one is for our dubstep fans.
Deadmau5 – Some Chords (LightoverLA Dubstep Remix)
