With a last minute venue change, a decent lineup, and the most anticipated stop of Identity the following day…Identity Hollywood still managed to deliver. Despite it’s traditional use of indoor performances, The Palladium actually worked extremely well by turning the back parking lot into massive outdoor arena. House | Kaskade Essential Mix

Kaskade is an absolute boss, that is a fact. Last night he played his first ever essential mix on BBC’s Radio One with Pete Tong and absolutely killed it. Fresh off of being voted the number one DJ in America and deservingly so, his essential mix encompasses everything that is his melodic, euphoric, big room sound, and more. It is packed with hit after hit and is mixed perfectly from song to song. I was a bit disappointed he did not debut another song from his upcoming CD “Fire and Ice” for his first essential mix, but he did play “Turn it Down”, the song he has been playing on Identity Festival with vocals from Rebecca and Fionna. Finally after hearing this song premiered to the world at the iTunes Festival and later on Pete Tong’s radio show, the progressive masterpiece “Calling” from Alesso and Sebastian Ingrosso is out. It is also the instrumental mix, so that means a vocal mix could be in the works and could drop sometime in the future. Get the song on beatport HERE.

The original helped catapult Avicii into the star that he is today, so it is fitting that it would get some very good remixes. The “Seek Bromance” remix package was released today on EDX led PinkStar Records and it is great. This Cazzette remix of Seek Bromance may be the best and the most widely supported. This remix is played at the end of Avicii’s shows and it is wild. It adds some heavy electro to the song and changes it a bit from the melodic piano driven song to something a bit heavier, but it keeps a lot of the original sound.

Arty is blowing up with his remix of Ferry Corstan’s Punk and his highly successful Around the World single, he is primed to make it big time. Kate will help him get there , with its melodic piano and synths and vocals put in a few places to make a great song. Release August 29th. Finally after two months of hearing live rips or Pete Tong radio rips of this song, Thomas Gold and Dirty South have given us this masterpiece. The vocals from Kate Elsworth are perfect with the beat as it builds up and the drop is amazing with its stunning bass line and synth work. This is a great song for the summer and will be played all across the world at every festival for a long time.

Big shout out to Mike D for sending us this FNT x TFM picture…
Supergroup/your favorite group, Swedish House Mafia, has been previewing this little gem during their live sets recently. Finally, this four minute version leaked, which is no where near comparable to the 9 minute version they debuted with Pete Tong…but it’ll suffice for now.
