BARRON’s latest is another feel-good banger that is impressive as it is emotional. The lush and savory production will leave you wanting more and clicking play again and again on “Without You”. BARRON is on to something special this year, I can feel it. Listen to “Without You” by BARRON above now and keep the Nashville up-and-comer on your radar, 2023 is going to be his year if he continues to drop music as potent as this song, I’m calling it now!
‘Without You’ is a track that starts out slow and somber with vocals that make you feel an emotion similar to that of when you are missing a friend or loved one. The track moves into a chorus that could be described as energetic and carefree, reminiscent of when you’re reunited again with that person you’ve been missing. I’ve been excited to release this track to listeners for a while now. For the past few months I’ve slowly been honing in on what I want my sound to be as an artist and I felt this was the perfect track to portray where it’s heading to kick off the new year.” – Barron

World-renowned multi-award-winning executive producer Carlo “Illangelo” Montagnese is best known for his collaborations with The Weeknd dating back to 2010 with ‘The Trilogy’ mixtapes, and contributing to Drake’s multi-platinum sophomore album ‘Take Care’. Now stepping into his solo venture Joy Odyssey and taking it a bit more seriously, he has returned with his new two-track EP Energy / Divine Perfection. The eclectic project is a hybrid sound that fuses all types of influences, check it out above now!
“I’m looking to push electronic music forward, The songs on this EP represent a world-building vision manifested through positive energy. Sonically they grind, vibrate and pulse, flowing through sweeping movements like orchestral sonatas. These musical movements are contrasted with lyrics that drop like mantras — genuine and compassionate, they are a call to arms for a more perfect, efficacious and sublime reality.”

Las Vegas based producer duo L*o*J are a new name to me but their new single “Mr. Hunt” is a head turning banger. Hot off of releases two big releases through Buygore and FUXWITHIT, they’re keeping the limelight on them by going a little more experimental than normal no this one. Tune in to the track above now, keep an eye on L*o*J’s future drops, and read a quote from the group on their latest release after the jump now!
“We built the track around the cover art we had received. Due to the length of the production of the song and that constant changing and searching of ideas (hunting for that perfect sound) we found Mr. Hunt was a good fit. The underground energy should resemble something challenging. Also, the rhythm and atmosphere almost gives you the feeling of getting chased.” – L*o*J
Alternative | RUBBER connect with NIC HANSON’ via “REASON THAT YOU CAME HERE”
Posted by VMan on June 3, 2021
Philadelphia’s Rubber have been causing quite the stir in the industry lately, and their latest offering ‘Reason
That You Came Here’ is a track that is too good to ignore. Taking a trip into psychedelica, the funky duo adopt warped synths and electro-pop rhythms that play as a sultry backdrop for the alluring narrative. Sewing sound samples into the lyricism, they use peppered percussion to build up to a killer chorus that is shimmering with gorgeous falsetto harmonies, with a charming attitude akin to that of Anderson.Paak. Complimenting each other in their varying musical tastes, singer Andrew Loper and multi-instrumentalist/producer John Della Franco have struck gold with the track, which features a groove-laden verse from fellow Philadelphian Nic Hanson . “Reason That You Came Here is all about confidence and not giving a flying fuck” Rubber explains,
“It’s about anticipating that feeling of being in a room and having all the eyes on you, being the center of attention, and owning it. Being cooped up this past year has been an intense and tiring experience. For us and many other artists, the return of shows has been the one light at the end of this tunnel that we are desperate to catch a glimpse of. We just booked our first hometown show for June 10th at Sunflower Philly so that light is well within reach now. This song is the perfect capstone to this era of our career, live music is popping up again after this long pandemic winter, andwe will once again be the reason that you came here, to the show, for a night of connective, energetic, eclectic music”.
Electronic | Axel Thesleff Drops New Track, “2 Down”
Posted by VMan on December 11, 2020
Axel Thesleff recently put out an uplifting melodic bass infused single and music video for a track called “2 Down” and it’s a feel good track that is much needed with everything going on in the world right now. The single represents letting go of the cycle of negativity to welcome one’s inner light and forgiveness. Ethereal vocals and synths in flux pair with a mother’s journey through meadows and streams of Lapland as she overcomes the worst of sufferings and finds a gratitude towards life. Check out a quote from Axel on the release and the visual below, under that watch the video for “2 Down “. Enjoy!
“The 2 Down music video depicts a journey of a lonely backpacker in a vast, dreamlike landscape of a never-ending mountain range. The traveler seems to be completely lost in thought. Painful memories start to arise from the past and she is forced to dive into them. She must fight the demons of guilt, blame, and sorrow within in order to break free from this mental dissonance and find forgiveness, acceptance, and gratitude to replace them. The story is about overcoming the worst of sufferings and clearing one’s mind from agony. It’s about facing one’s deepest fears and painful emotions head-on and growing from them as a person. No one is perfect and sometimes one needs acceptance in order to move forward in life and strive to do one’s best. Life is short, and we should be spending it loving each other instead of fighting. Ultimately, 2 Down is about gratitude towards life”. -Axel
Albums | French Duo, My Dear, present a perfect song for the Summertime
Posted by dshaq on June 14, 2017
Out from retirement comes Dshaq. Today we have a fantastic offering from the French duo, My Dear. Very reminiscent of heavy 80s synthesizer music, A Day With You breaks their previous tracks’ molds and gives us a beautiful Nu-Disco track for the upcoming Summer months. A simple guitar riff leads the way during this one, with a powerful chorus to match. My Dear only has a couple tracks listed on their Soundcloud, but I would highly recommend checking out their other stuff – especially “Standing in This Dream”. Enjoy!
