Paul Oakenfold made his fame with heart facing, high bpm acid, psytrance, but also had the ability to successfully cross over into more mainstream genres with more of his album material. With “Higher” we see him do just that and work with Canadian producer & Dj duo Project 46 on this melodic, uplifting big room track. Daphne’s vocals are the icing on the cake for this sublime melody put together by Paul Oakenfold and Project 46.

The track has been in circulation for months now, getting support from every big Dj under the sun like Steve Angello (obviously), Kaskade, Otto Knows, Diplo, Tiesto, Laidback Luke, Wolfgang Gartner, Hardwell and many more. We now know that the minimalist festival track will be released February 25th, making it a prime time cut for WMC and Ultra and will round out a great month for Size with “Swoon” coming on Monday. To celebrate the news, Henrix is giving out a free track “Miami Rising” that is a departure from his hard hitting percussion laden beats for a more melodic piano driven track, showing the diversity of his productions. Also after the jump the preview for a new track “All That”, which was premiered on Tiesto’s Club Life last week.

With Cazzette hosting a remix contest for their single “Weapon”, Moiez has tossed his hat into the ring with a more tranced out version of the track, utilizing atmospheric synths, slow piano and excellent sampling of the vocals, reminiscent of his earlier works like “Kismet”. Wasting no time of this remix, Moiez flips the more melodic, experimental Eric Prydz influenced original for his own gritty electro house take on “Three Million”, a style we have not heard much of from the Canadian producer.

After its first public unveiling in late 2011, “Army” now with Sultan & Ned Shepard added to the title, is finally released after months and months of no information on whether or not this one would ever come out. The track that has highlighted Nervo sets for over a year now is here for your consumption in either radio or club mix form. “Army” combines the melodic sensibilities of both the Nervo twins and Canadian duo Sultan & Ned Shepard, coming together with an infectious top line that sounds even better finished and when coupled with the vocals from Omarion and subtle vocal harmonization from Nervo, you have a hit in the making.

Eric Prydz returned to BBC Radio One’s legendary essential mix last night and the result was extraordinary. A two hour mind bending journey of unreleased tracks from the melodic master and his protégés, ranging from bright uplifting tracks like “Everyday” and “Let Me Feel” to the darker Cirez D cut. A few other individuals were able to sneak into the mix, but this was a showcase of the Pryda’s production prowess and what should be on the horizon for the next year or two we hope. Sit back, turn off the lights and get ready to be taken on an epic 2 hour journey by Eric Prydz. Pay attention to “ID 1”, because that one will be stuck with you for a while. Forever Kid is back again with a brand new remix with hopes of winning both Nervo’s tender love as well as their remix competition. After listening to over 50 submissions of this remix, this track is by far the best produced, melodic, and overall remix by far. This LA based duo hailing form Stockholm, Sweden is beyond deserving of a win here for their consistency and pure raw talent, you may remember them from their banger/party starter remix of Somebody I Used to Know”. Just as he did last May in celebration of hitting 2 million Facebook fans, Avicii has hit another huge social media milestone hitting 3 million Facebook fans and to celebrate is giving out a free track from his extensive list of unreleased tracks. Like “Two Million“, this offering is a never before heard track and not something you will hear in his sets, but is a more unique track that sounds like it has Eric Prydz influences in it with quick playful arps, a rolling bass line, subtle synth layers and excellent vocals from Negin that come together on this mellow and melodic track from the superstar. It is great to see his sound diversify during his time off from touring and who knows maybe we will see some more stuff like this on his album whenever it comes out. Grab the download for free below.
