Trance | Ferry Corsten – Midsummer Rain
Posted by Spice on October 7, 2013
In honor of reaching 900,000 fans on Facebook, Ferry Corsten has decided to dig into the vaults and release a track from 2004 for free download. This blissful, melodic 10 minute long epic is a great throwback with a pure trance vibe and is absolutely beautiful to boot. In Ferry’s own words: “Wow, 900.000 likes on my Facebook page! As a little ‘thank you’ to all of you, I decided to give away a special, previously unreleased track of myself. Back in 2004 I produced the track “Midsummer Rain”, especially for the “Infinite Euphoria” mix compilation. ‘Midsummer Rain’ was produced exclusive for this mix album and you can now download the complete, 10 minute version on my Soundcloud page for free! Thanks to all my fans for your support.” Check out “Midsummer Rain” below, and keep an eye out for Ferry in the coming months if you’re here in the US — he and Markus Schulz will be swinging through both coasts in November as the irrepressible New World Punx.

Dubstep | Don Diablo & Matt Nash – Starlight (Clark Kent Remix)
Posted by BP on October 2, 2013
Out of the many “Starlight” remixes emerging lately, Clark Kent’s is one of my favorites. It’s definitely melodic dubstep but the drops are what makes it really stand out. Melodic dubstep can sometimes sound the same, but the twists and turns in the drops make this one unique. They are heavier than expected and the growls and glitches are a pleasant surprise. Not to mention the vocals fit nicely into the more melodic sections. This one’s free on Facebook!

Progressive House | Don Diablo & Matt Nash – Starlight (Could You Be Mine) [Otto Knows Remix]
Posted by Middy on September 30, 2013
Otto Knows rarely releases a song, but when he does it is dynamite. He revamps the clubby original with melodic synth work and chopped vocals that we have seen him use so well. This is vintage Knows, as he continues to show that it is all about quality over quantity.

Electro-House, Preview | Robert Delong – Global Concepts (Tommie Sunshine & Live City Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Middy on September 29, 2013
I was not ready for this one. I knew Live City could turn out some heavy stuff, but this is a whole new level. They completely strip the original instrumental, and add their own gritty, powerful electro drop with slower, melodic builds to match the somber vocals. The track has been around and the label is dragging their feet on this one, so Glassnote lets get this going and release this bad boy.
Progressive House | Ana Criado & Beat Service – Whispers (Maddix Remix)
Posted by Middy on September 29, 2013
Following up his recent single “Touching The Sky” & “Splash“, Dutch producer Maddix takes to the remix front with his take on Beat Service’s 2012 track with Ana Criado “Whisper”. Instead of his electro stylings that we saw on the past two originals, Maddix adds a more melodic feel to this track, flipping the trance original into a high-powered big room remix. Look for more from Maddix as he continues to impress.

Dubstep | Kaskade & Adam K – Raining (ft. Sunsun) (Urbanstep Remix)
Posted by BP on September 29, 2013
Ubranstep decided to take this awesome older track from Kaskade & Adam K and make it fresh and new. His version of “Raining (ft. Sunsun)” is melodic and emotional. It’s smooth and calming but the synth chops give it some life. Urbanstep’s remix was really a pleasure to find this Sunday afternoon. Check it out for yourself, and while you’re at it, grab the free download!

Dubstep | Televisor – Old Skool (Fractal Remix)

Fractal has been putting out fire remixes lately. Here’s his version of “Old Skool” by Televisor to celebrate 10,420 likes. The track feels nostalgic and emotional. The bass filled drops are each different, but both are melodic and pretty fast paced. This track will definitely grab your attention.
