DJ Dstar and Matthew LeFace have joined forces once more to release the Outlawz EP, out now via Laidback Luke’s Ones To Watch Records (a division of Mixmash Records). The title track “Outlawz” is a hard hitting electro track with west coast influences while the B-side “Break Yourself” will make you want to go break something (and hopefully not yourself!). The EP is a solid follow-up to their summer smash “Xomp” that was released last year.

It has been a minute since I’ve heard a mashup/bootleg using Empire of the Sun’s “Walking on a Dream”. There was a moment when you couldn’t browse the internet without hearing a new remix, mashup or a song sampling it, so when I first heard Dstar bootleg, I was a bit hesitant about it. Nevertheless, what I found was an amazing bootleg. Matthew LeFace, Matt Nash & Dave Silcox’s “King” is a banger in itself and the added vocals from Empire of the Sun take it to another level. This one is a must download.
