Above: J Cole talks about Jay-Z rejecting his CD, OUCH. Below: Eminem unrolls yet another record on us and while I’m not feeling this one as much as some of his other works, it definitely earned a spot in my iTunes library. I’m hearing a lot of chatter out there regarding Em’s latest collab with Dre and Jay-Z. In fact it seems as though mostly everyone’s trying to figure out how Ca$his made it onto the allstar track, “Syllables”. The Shady Records artist discusses recording the track back in 2007 in a recent interview with Vibe Magazine commenting, “‘Syllables’ was cut a couple of years ago…I think it was going to be for one of Em’s albums or Detox.” Is he insinuating that both of those are history aka Detox isn’t happening? He better not be. Ca$his claims “I was more so excited than intimidated because I already had held my own with Em, and I think they believed in me this time. After I kicked my verse, Em, Dre, and 50 all said it was dope. That was the cosign I needed. I learned more from that session than any other before that.” Read the full post here.
