Posted by Middy on April 9, 2013
Australian Cover Girls Mim and Liv, aka Nervo, fresh off of the release of their single with Omarion “Army“, release their latest track “Hold On“, a high energy vocal single sure to elevate their sets. The rise to stardom for the Nervo twins has been well documented, starting by writing songs for big pop stars and even some of the biggest EDM artists, to now as established rising stars with strings of huge releases over the past few years, propelling them onto MainStages all across the globe and making them one of the hottest (literally) duos around. Co-produced by R3hab, “Hold On”, relies on powerful guitar riffs, etheral vocals and sturdy bass line to create a potential pop hit for the duo. Watch for remixes coming May 7th.
Preview, Progressive House | Maor Levi & Pierce Fulton – Wanna Be (Preview)

A collab between two genre melding producers, New York resident Pierce Fulton and Israeli producer Maor Levi create their new single “Wanna Be” out April 12th on Cr2 Records. The track leans on a euphoric, trancey synth line with pitched female vocals and atmospheric breaks that give the original mix all the makings of the next hit for these two. The club mix takes an edgier approach with a gruff low end added, making it more useful for certain live stages. Coming April 12th, this one is not to be missed.
Electro, Trance | Ummet Ozcan – Here & Now
Posted by Middy on March 25, 2013
You could not go an hour without hearing his collab with W&W “The Code” on the various stages at Ultra across the two weekends and with his previous single “The Box”, still meandering its way into sets, it is fair to say Ummet Ozcan is here to stay. “Here & Now” represents the harder, more in your face sound we have heard in his hits lately but still remains true to his trance roots with bombastic synths, a driving bass line, distorted key play and soothing progressive trance interludes. “Here & Now” is already picking up support from the likes of Porter Robinson, W&W, Arty, Sander van Doorn and many more, so do not miss this one.

Progressive House | Walden – Intropial (Remixes)

Australian youngster, Walden in the midst of his first WMC, unveils the remix package for his recent single “Intropial” on Big Beat Records. The first remix comes from Pierce Fulton, who strips back some of the big room tendencies of the original and focuses on the groove with a strong bass line and his own simple, yet effective melody that is perfect for the Miami sun he is currently soaking up. Special Features adds his fast paced bright synths to the track that do not stray too much from the original, but still remind us that the young British producer has yet again added another solid remix to his growing discography. Ghost provides a heavy dubstep take on the track, while Dutch duo TV Noise add gritty electro to it.

Electro-House | Daddy’s Groove & Cryogenix – Vertigo
Posted by Middy on March 18, 2013
Coming off of the release of “Stellar“, Italian duo Daddy’s Groove team up with Italian trio Cryogenix to release this high energy track on David Guetta led Jack Back Records. “Vertigo” uses ominous builds that lead into a simple, yet effective drop of thunderous percussion, a pounding bass line and the occasional electro stutter. This festival sized cut is yet another track that is among the many tracks we are seeing now that espouse hard hitting, percussive drops, designed to do the most damage on the biggest of stages.

Progressive House | DubVision – Redux
Posted by Middy on March 8, 2013
Dutch duo DubVision continue their hot string of releases coming off of their “Summertime” remix and of course their still potent “Committed to Sparkle Motion” remix and now put out their first single of the year on Spinnin Records, “Redux”. The track does not stray from the winning formula DubVision have created for themselves with a beautiful melody, grand, echoing piano and a driving, rolling bass line that all comes together in a track that should be played in a large warehouse or on a festival stage. This big room monster has already found its way into the sets of most of the top Djs, so you can expect to hear it early and often echoing around the Megastructures at Ultra.
