Tyra Banks blows me away with her undeniable smarts but for some reason, when I first heard this song, I did not feel the same way. To be fair, my first listen was heard through laptop speakers so I jerked my way over to my room, grabbed my headphones and proceeded to get into the zone. I rubbed the tip for a second, gave it a kiss, plugged the headphone jack in and pressed play. I actually enjoyed the song very much on that listen and each time I listened to afterwards I would like it more and more. The producers behind this remix are Manfred, a gentleman from Singapore with only 34 followers on Soundcloud and Atran, a producer with 170 followers on Soundcloud and yet, an odd 70k likes on Facebook. Pretty freaky stuff to be sure but the song is good so look past it and enjoy. Also, if you don’t enjoy it, keep it to yourself. There’s no room for criticism here at FNT.

Consummate genre-defiers The M Machine are back with a monster of a track for this snowy afternoon. With hypnotic, choppy vocals and masterfully blended elements of techno, electro-house, and dubstep, “Superflat” manages to jack up the energy level while still sounding markedly different in that tried-and-true M Machine way.

Including the insanely awesome above shot, which was taken by yours truly with a cracked iPhone (and it’s frankly still a mystery as to how I managed to pull it off. I mean, look at that thing. Fade away with Thomas Jack’s latest remix of Benjamin Francis Leftwich’s “Atlas Hand.” Currently on tour in North America, it appears that Mr. Jack is still in Australian Summer mode bringing the sunlight and heat to this chili North American Fall weather. One thing I appreciate from Thomas is the fact that he always incorporates actual instruments to his remixes, the violin, guitar and flute make this record. I can only imagine his tracks being played live backed by a live band. One day. This is a must listen and a must download!

Preview, Progressive House | Above & Beyond – Mariana Trench [Preview]

Above & Beyond premiered this at ABGT 50 and now we’ve got a full-ish version to stream at our leisure. In form and structure, “Mariana Trench” bears quite a bit of resemblance to the trio’s homage to Breaking Bad, “Walter White”; both tracks have hard, driving basslines that fade into melodic breaks, before electro-inspired builds jack the energy level back up. And is that a key change at the end? Goodness. This may be yet another departure from the group’s trancier Tri-State days but it’s sure to be an absolute monster live. No word on a release date yet so keep your eyes peeled.

This has been one of the hottest dance records in the world this summer and for a time people didn’t even know the proper name of the track. Everybody is playing it and it is really easy to see why. The track has the perfect blend of festival friendly energy and sophisticated power to make it right for any set. Turn this one up and jack to the sound of the underground.

Yes, yes, yes; a thousand times yes. The throwbacky instant classic that is Breach’s “Jack” gets a hefty, kicked up facelift from Tittsworth and Alex Eljaiek — and they’re quite literally giving it away. Thonking, techy bass lends serious oomph to a track that was already a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor. Not really much else to say here, especially since this remix comes with Dirtybird’s official blessing. I’ve already had the pleasure of hearing this thing go down live and let me tell you: it’s the real deal.
