Hip-Hop, Preview, Videos | Supreme Regime – All American Psycho (Prod. Mulatto Beats)
Posted by Hamtaro on December 3, 2013
The young and promising Chicago group Supreme Regime delivers new music today and it does not disappoint. The quick track which is excellently produced by Mulatto Beats gives a Middle Eastern trap like beat that is full of juice. Carl Rummy goes in first and gives an erie verse for Loudmouth to then go in and smash but only for minute. Jesse finishes off the track with a husky and dirty sprite proclaiming the group as the new American Psychos. Look for more from Supreme Regime in the near future.
Drum & Bass, Glitch | Upscale Recordings – The Collective EP (Ft. Evoke, Frequent, Masq, Audeka, Paurini, & Spectric)
Posted by Mach on December 1, 2013
Damn, the sub-label of Adapted Records, Upscale Recordings with the goal of sharing strictly Neuro-Hop (Blend of Glitch-Hop and Neuro-Funk AKA Drum & Bass), drops this dirty EP of some of the top up and comers in the newly rising twisted genre. The EP kicks off with an original from Evoke. Carrying the title of the EP, “The Collective” thumps in smoothly, only to progress into that deliciously glitched out funk. Next, Spectric remixes Evoke’s original, adding a few more layers to the mix of the glitch to take you on deep stroll of bass. A commoner on FNT with his Neuro/Trap blends, Masq teams up with Frequent. Their collaboration “Firescape” starts out with a calm, slightly glitchy melodic euphoria, leaving you bumping out at a deep multi-bass layered drop. A larger name and personal favorite of Neuro-hop, come Audeka with a funky remix of Dino Safari’s Breakspeed. This remix has to be my favorite on the EP, I love how deep the bass on this track is and how it maintains the funk with the chill throughout it. Something that KOAN Sound and Asa introduced to the majority of the population on their most recent collaboration EP. Last, but certainly not least, Paurini introduces himself with a chilling original, “Lumberjack”. Paurini is a new name for me, and after hearing this original, I’m blown away. I suspect this is just the beginning of his epic Neuro journey. Neuro-Hop is a genre on the rise, while Dubstep introduces new artists by the minute and becomes more and more repetitive by the minute. “The Collective” EP is a must have, and count on Upscale recordings to introduce countless more great tracks in the future.

Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Showtek Talk The “Art” Of DJing, Terrible Shows, Basketball And More [FNT Exclusive]
Posted by Middy on November 26, 2013
In conjunction with our presenting their Showtek Essentials a few weeks back, we have an interview with Dutch masters, Sjoerd and Wouter Janssen, known to you as Showtek. Their move from Hardstyle to Showtek-styled electro house in the past few has been well chronicled, starting with productions alongside Tiësto and Marcel Woods, like “Maximal Crazy” and then really breaking out with their own collabs and originals like “Hell Yeah”, “How We Do”, “Cannonball” and most recently “Booyah“. I would argue that besides W&W, only Maarten Vorwerk (unwittingly, the most famous ghost producer out there) has helped sculpt the festival-oriented dance music landscape as much as Showtek. They do not waste a single production, and live bring that energy to you every night.
During our interview we cover everything DJing, which they say “Their mum could do it”, their productions, past and future, bad shows, their love for basketball and much more. Head past the break to get to know the Janssen brothers a little better and stream the remixes for “Booyah” while you read.

Fresh off the release of his EP Flashin’, Worthy is a back with a booty bouncing remix of B-Ju’s “Ass Club.” In case you’re still getting familiar with tech-house, this is a sub-genre properly titled future booty house, aka a booty shaker that’s far beyond its years. In addition to the release, Worthy dropped a tech-house mix that you can enjoy here. Let this track be the starter to your night, soon enough it’ll be time to get those shot glasses out and get the pre-game started while you’re getting ready. Shake that ass! This is a must listen and a must download!

Chill, Dubstep | Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On (Big Sandz Remix)
Posted by VMan on November 21, 2013
Damn, what a remix of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” by Big Sandz. Consider this a throwback Thursday, because it’s a few months old, but I don’t believe this remix received the attention it deserves. Stemming from Chicago, Big Sandz produces Lovestep, which appears to be huge in the Midwest. My good friend Graham put me on to him, and told me to keep an eye out for future releases. I’m sold, I’m looking forward to more, this is not your regular remix. This is a must listen and a must download!

iTunes: Max Elto – Backyard Animals
Saw this video on Facebook, and I’m liking the song a lot. The track is called “Backyard Animals” by Swedish duo Max Elto. The best way to describe their sound is indie-electro, a perfect blend of indie rock and electro. The duo just signed to Big Beat at Atlantic Records, and at the sound of things I’m expecting a bright future for these two! This is a must listen and a must watch!
