Watermat has an ingenious tick that only comes to light once in a while. His trilling horn slashes in his breakout single, “Bullit,” brought a soundscape unheard of before, and the French mastermind is back with a new single, “Frequency,” with Dim Mak regular TAI. Again with a bag of surprises, the producer team take the groovey melodies of deep house and infuse them with blaring synths to deliver a track that seems to take on a genre of its own. “Frequency” will be out in full on March 30th on Spinnin’ Records.

Out as part of the Elliptical Sun Melodies [ESM133] compilation, Musty hits it out of the park, taking us a on a feel-trip to the mystical playgrounds residing among the cloud. He adds to the quality content consistently provided by the label, with high frequency synths and a melodic chord progression that showcases his aptitude as a melodic progressive producer. It’s just hit after hit from Cream Collective this week. SYZ and Orca came together on this track to create a deep ambient space with creative twists. “Outtaspace” is dreamy and mesmerizing. Vocal chops dance over pulsating synths in this chill masterpiece. I am impressed with the frequency and quality of work coming from both these artists. They are definitely names to watch out for. SYZ has an EP called “Roses” coming out on Cream Collective very soon – keep an eye out, and grab this track for free while you wait!

With Angry Young Man in its imminence, OnCue continues to build the hype surrounding it with yet another single. “Way Too Far” is a ballad of Cuey’s endless work and the significant impacts that it’s been having on his life. The song certainly encapsulates the spirit of an angry young man, as each line is spit with an unmatched conviction and emotion.
OnCue has yet to give us a set release date for his forthcoming project, however, it was said to be released sometime this month. Whether that release date is abided by or we have to hold off a little longer, I’m sure I speak for many when I say that AYM will be worth the wait.
