Progressive House | Fehrplay – I Can’t Stop It
Posted by Middy on January 14, 2013
One of the names to watch in 2013, Fehrplay makes his return to Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends imprint with his debut 2013 release “I Can’t Stop It”. The Norwegian producer provides us with the hallmarks of what we can expect with a Fehrplay production and Pryda Friends release — subtly and melodic complexity. Getting its first play on EPIC radio 005 and later being chosen as an essential new tune by Pete Tong, Fehrplay uses a rolling bass line with euphoric synth chords and prominent arps, aided by entrancing vocals to create a complete, full body track sure to remain prominent for the first few months of the year..

DJ-Set, Dubstep, House, Trance | Weekend Mixes 12/6/12
Posted by Middy on December 6, 2012
This week’s weekend mixes brings you a whole variety from dubstep to trance to house. It is finals time and though you may want one last hurrah this weekend, you will need some music to get down to studying and there is plenty of that here. We start things off with The Drop and this week’s show that includes a guest mix from Max Graham and an interview with W&W where they reveal their next track will be coming out on Revealed. Next up we have the latest two episodes of Tritonal’s weekly podcast “Air Up There” that is being rebranded after its final show this Saturday with the recording of their live show in their hometown of Austin, Texas. Both episodes are 3 hour retrospective episodes, so hit play and go on a journey with Tritonal. Then we have Fehrplay’s December mix to finish out the year that brings some groovy house to the table. After the jump you have Tristan Garner’s fast paced, bootleg heavy set from Queen two weeks back along with mixes from Knife Party, Adventure Club, Arty & Maor Levi. Tracklist as always after the jump.

It is that time again, even though many of you have probably not stopped going at it since last week, we are here to provide you with more mixes to get you through the weekend. We start off with EPIC Radio, which is always a treat, featuring a bevy of unreleased Eric Prydz tracks and a new one from Fehrplay set to release on Pryda Friends soon. Next up we have The Drop and their weekly episode that features an interview with Hard Rock Sofa where they reveal info on a few upcoming tracks and a guest mix from Cr2 label boss MYNC. The real gem is their Halloween mix that features 28 tracks in 56, moving at a breakneck pace from one track to the next. Tommy Trash presents the 4th episode of Trashed Radio with some exclusive new cuts from himself and a few other new tracks. We finish it off with Nervo and their weekly show on Sirius XM that features some unreleased tracks including the Carl Louis & Martin Danielle remix of “Something to Believe In”.
House | Eric Prydz – Every Day (Incl. Fehrplay Remix)
Posted by Middy on October 15, 2012
Man oh man, Eric Prydz reaffirms his place among the elite producers in the world. “Every Day” combines complex arps and bass lines, inextricably well layered melodies and addictive vocals that give this track an added element we don’t usually see from Eric Prydz. The melodic master strikes again with this track that is sure to be just as huge as “Allein” has been this year. The Fehrplay remix flips the track into a more bass oriented track, stripping it of most of the melody, making me turn more to the original. There are still tickets left to see Eric Prydz at Roseland Ballroom Saturday 11/24, so get on that and if you need any motivation just watch this video.

DJ-Set, House | Fehrplay – Nightride
Posted by Middy on September 25, 2012
When Fehrplay is not photobombing Eric Pyrdz’s pictures he is hard at work putting together great house tunes. Following up his two track EP, Incognito / Runaway, “Nightride” provides a totally unique sound with a funky bass line, a smattering of pitched effects, and male vocal bits rounding out this eclectic track. Pryda Friends always releases a unique, refreshing sound in the style of its headmaster, Eric Prydz and “Nightrider” fits right in. Also included is a much belated posting of Eric Prydz’s third episode of EPIC radio that recaps his summer US tour with a whole host of unreleased material including a song with Steve Angello that will probably never get released and his sublime “The Veldt” edit that blows all others out of the water. Tracklist after the jump.
