Krewella are no stranger to remixes, with their first worldwide smash single “Alive” seeing remixes and edits from just every corner of every genre. Their recent album “Get Wet” provides many more opportunities for over-remixing, however this sea of mediocrity allows certain gems from big and small names alike to stand out.
In steps New Jersey native and Mister East resident Sevag, who adds his own on one of the festival friendly selection from Krewella’s album “We Are One”. Sevag keeps festival friendly feel of the original, making sure to highlight Yasmine and Jahan’s vocals, but adds his own percussive flare to give it more bounce. Progressive House | Introducing: Lush & Simon

Looking for the next bandwagon to hop on? Well here it is. Italian duo, Alessandro Miselli & Simone Pioltelli or Lush & Simon are set to become the next big-room stars. I compare what I see happening to them in the next year, to what just happened to Vicetone, it is coming. Their remixes are both melodic and powerful, bringing out the best of the originals, while putting their own big-room touch on the tracks.
They have already seen support from the likes of Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Hardwell, Bingo Players, Thomas Gold, Deniz Koyu and more. These two are only getting started and before you know it, your favorite DJs will be playing their tracks out and they may be playing at your favorite venue. After a brief hiatus, I’m back and ready to give you some tunes guaranteed to make you feel giddy inside. Instead of my regular hip-hop posts, I’m broadening my horizons with this volume including some electronic artists and other various genres. Prepare yourselves.
1) Cherub
Luckily I was able to see Cherub last weekend and they blew me away. Their synthy pop sound gives off an state of ecstasy that is guaranteed to get you grooving and bopping your head. Cherub hails from Nashville and has actually been around for a little bit, but has failed to receive the praise they deserve. Their Doses and Mimosas video (which is my favorite track by them), has over 600,000 views on youtube and I definitely see them blowing up very soon. Progressive House | Joan Reyes & Heren feat. Amba Shepherd – Perfect Crime (Fareoh Remix)

Coming off of his “Lessons In Love” remix, Fareoh follows that outstanding remix up with another for “Perfect Crime” featuring the indelible Amba Shepherd on vocals. Fareoh delivers on a sublime melody, a quick alternating bass line and well timed stops that mesh perfectly with Amba Shepherd’s heavenly vocals. With vocal stutters and smooth piano builds easing into the drop, this displays two very impressive remixes in a row from the young New Yorker and shows he is a force to be reckoned with going into 2013.
