Many may have seen HBO’s hit series The Wire, and as you may know growing up in Baltimore isn’t easy. Jackboi Tony looks to turn tragedy to triumph through his musical outlet. With an incarceration at the mere age of 18, this came at a point just two weeks after his sons birth. But this life lesson is the roadblock he needed to cherish life’s hidden beauties. Doing this music to uplift the youth around him showing that the impossible is possible, and that life should never be taken for granted.

Jackboi Tony has lost countless friends to the environment he’s from, and this music is to prove that there’s other avenues out there. Within a year of each other three of his friends were murdered because of senseless behavior. This is where the inspiration for “Everyday (Part 2)” came from, because these friends that were murdered were an instrumental role in the first installment. Enjoy!
