What was once a 5 song remix package has been cut down to 3 remixes for the young Stockholm native’s Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s latest single “Pieces Of Light“. They tab young guns SICK INDIVIDUALS, Denzal Park, & Henrix to add new life to this track with SICK INDIVIDUALS adding a grinding electro drop, Denzal Park pumping more energy into the progressive break and Henrix continuing his current trend of percussion heavy tracks. The remix package will be out December 17th on EMI.

The first remix to be previewed comes from the fast rising Brits Tom Star & Kryder who provide a similar style to their “Can’t Stop Me Now” remix with its dominating, unique, funky percussive bass lines. Italian duo, Promise Land have always been on the fringe of the dance music scene with semi-successful releases, but have never been able to catch a big break or maintain momentum from a pretty big track. This remix may just be that break as it flips the emotive melody into a tough, grungy drop that gives the track a new dimension. Joris Voorn is a superb producer, but this remix assignment did not fit his body of work and really is rather poor.

Dimitri Vangelis and Wyman are back to present us with a preview of their next gem with Jonny Rose “Pieces of Light”. “Pieces Of Light” emphasizes Jonny Rose’s superb vocals, accentuating the topline and melody. This is a return to their more traditional big room sound with some elements of the harder sounds we heard in “This Is Your Life“.
