“Gecko” by Oliver Heldens was a massive hit and Elephante, the guy whose remixes are all hits as well decided to put his own spin on it. The memorable riff from the original remains, but electro sounds and big chords have been added, resulting in a much more high energy track.

Much like how a certain chainsmoking duo stole all of our hearts last year, Elephante appears to be on the same track and ready to do the same. The high quality of each release combined with his unique sound is a recipe for success. His latest remix keeps up with his hybrid progressive house fused with electro style and, like always, it’s awesome.

Electro, Progressive House | Calvin Harris – Summer (Elephante Remix)

It was not long ago that I would be driving around with my window slightly down (enough so that people could hear the music, but not enough as to make people think that I wanted them to hear the music) with Calvin Harris’ “Summer” on repeat impressing the heck out of all the girls I’d pass. That impresses them you can trust me. Especially Punjabi people. The original is probably in my top 10 of the year so far and will therefore make any remix I hear of it not sound all too well in comparison. Elephante’s remix, however, does sound well in comparison. It has some electro elements in addition to the usual progressive that his songs consist of, which differentiates it significantly and provides an interesting take on the original.

Progressive House | Oh Be Clever – Next To You (Elephante Remix)

As a follow up to his “#Selfie” remix, Elephante has remixed the indie song “Next To You” by Oh Be Clever and it is just might be his best work yet. He keeps the energy high in this one with kicks, snares, and claps throughout almost the whole track as well as a preview of the drop only a short 15 seconds in. The vocals and main melody are of course both excellent as well.

Progressive House | The Chainsmokers – #SELFIE (Elephante Remix)

The commercial success of “#SELFIE” has spawned numerous remakes/covers/edits/remixes and they are almost all terrible. Elephante decided to completely rework the song into a progressive version and it actually turned out quite well. I can’t honestly say I have any desire to listen to the original other than when I come across it naturally in my day to day life but I do have that desire for this version.
