Progressive House | Outkast ‘Roses’ Got A Worthy Remix From Peter Brennan & TCUP

Posted by on April 3, 2015

Outkast - Roses (Peter Brennan & TCUP Remix)No one has never said that they are tired of hearing Outkast’s classic “Roses.” This makes it a nearly impossible task of remixing such a tune. However Peter Brennan & TCUP did just that by layering the original hook over a soft, summery break before crescendoing into an upbeat progressive drop. Its a free download, so grab it below.

House | The Magician Brings The Heat With His “All Cried Out” Remix

Posted by on March 18, 2015

Blonde. So hot right now. Blonde. When “All Cried Out” dropped we lost our face. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, The Magician (who’s one of our favorite rising artists) tries his hand at this monster single. With a deep drop and incredible use of the vocals, The Magician continues to stand out in a sea of similarity.

Trap | Clinton Sparks Remixes Manolo Rose’s “Run Ricky Run”

Posted by on February 15, 2015

Building on the success of his Gregor Salto commissioned “Geronimo” remix, Clinton Sparks takes on Manolo Rose’s “Run Ricky Run”, an ode to John Singleton’s 1991 Boyz N The Hood drama, which is one of the hottest records in New York at the moment. Complete with a drop that’s club ready, Clinton brings continues his prolific 2015 output, bringing the heat in a major way. This is a big trap ripper.

Chet Porter is by far one of the most unpredictable producers on the rise. No boost – every time I press play on a Chet Porter track I have no idea what to expect. This one steps away from the traditional “build and drop” formula dominating EDM airwaves worldwide. It starts off in an epic fashion and continues beautifully into another world. The vocals are utilized perfectly. You can’t classify this and that’s what I love about this remix and Chet Porter’s productions. It’s a free download and I highly recommend adding this to your iTunes playlist. Don’t believe me? Press play.

Progressive House | Hardwell Releases Horrendous “Sally” Single Featuring Harrison

Posted by on January 17, 2015

Holy smokes this is bad. Who in the hell wrote this song? The lyrics make me cringe just listening to them. This Harrison guy singing the vocals (who I suspect wrote the lyrics) is hard to listen to. There’s even a cliche “one, two, three go” before the drop. Please make it stop. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against progressive house. There are many artists who do it well. This track though? It makes me ears bleed. You know what I find hilarious? Last year, in an interview with Armin Van Buuren, he said:

“I’m experimenting with a lot of new, different sounds. I’m a bit sick of the same formula that’s going on in EDM right now so I’m just trying to change boundaries and look at what’s going on in the rest of the world. Even in the hip hop scene and the trance scene and try to combine as much as possible.” [VIDEO]

Hardwell’s “United We Are” album drops January 23rd. I won’t be picking it up.

Rap | Larry June – Came Up (ft. IAMSU!) Prod. KiNG KiLO

Posted by on January 11, 2015

Really happy to be posting this one. Larry June, a dude who’s been making moves with 808Mafia and making a name for himself joins forces with IAMSU! to drop this trap banger. Produced by newcomer KiNG KiLO, its a hard Chicago drill sounding beat that works really well with the two flows. Good rhymes and a lot of bass, what more do you need? Enjoy.
