Electro-House | Dada Life – Feed The Dada (Original + Dyro Mix)
Posted by Middy on August 27, 2012
Dada Life provides us with what they have said to be the “biggest drop ever” in their latest single “Feed The Dada”, and while it is disputable whether or not this is the biggest drop ever, there is not denying the power in the song. The music video shows people’s uncontrollable urge to rage to this track, showing an almost religious devotion to the dada. The song is not for the lighthearted and with superb vocals bringing in the intense drop, it is the perfect single to welcome their album coming soon this fall. Rising dutch phenom, Dyro adds a little more bite to the track with grungier chords and a varying pitched synth line to create a remix that may be just as good or better than the original. Be sure to enter Dada Land this fall as they tour North America.
Events | Dada Life takes you to Dada Land on their upcoming North America Tour

With their single “Feed The Dada” that apparently has the biggest drop ever on the way August 27th, Dada Life is preping to take North America by storm, partly as support for Tiesto’s College Life Tour and the rest as part of their own tour with American dubstep pioneer 12th Planet. We all know their shows are madness, with their energy on stage being among the best in the scene and “Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker” becoming a sing-a-long track, however with Dada Life having their own show and their own tour, this may just be your best Dada experience yet. It unofficially kicks off at Electric Zoo September 1st and continues September 18th in Ontario, Canada, finishing on October 29th in Oregon. If they are prepared to do this tour that means one thing — their album is done, so a release date should come soon. Get your tickets below and dates for the tour after the jump.
Dubstep, Progressive House | Dada Life – Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker (Datsik & Otto Knows Remixes)

Oh, happy day! When we first previewed the Datsik and Otto Knows remixes of “Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker,” we didn’t have a set release date and I was concerned that we’d be kept on ice* for months. But it looks like the gods are smiling on us because the package officially dropped today. I’ve already discussed both of these remixes so I’ll keep it brief: two very different but independently excellent interpretations of Dada Life’s anthemic powerhouse. Both of these tracks are must DLs that will probably figure heavily in many an upcoming live set — so get them early…and listen often.

Preview, Progressive House | Dada Life — Kick Out The Epic Motherf**cker (Otto Knows Remix Preview)

Dada Life is clearly about to drop an absolutely massive remix package for the already massive “Kick Out the Epic Motherf**ker.” First Datsik brought the womps, and now Otto Knows is bringing the chords. He puts a completely different spin on the driving, almost relentless theme of the original by layering in big, dissonant swells that rise and fall beneath the vocals. The result is a track with an utterly fresh tone and vibe — I can’t wait to hear this one in full.
Disclaimer: listen to this preview at your own risk. The build is prolonged and and torturous and the clip cuts out at the precise moment of the drop. Reminds me of a certain video I had the misfortune to take at an Afrojack show last month…let’s just say that Sev still hasn’t recovered.
Dubstep, Preview | Dada Life – Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker (Datsik Remix Preview)

What happens when the dark, glitchy sounds of Datsik collide head-on with the unbridled energy of the Dada Life boys? Well, I just spent about ten minutes constructing a really elaborate narrative involving a robot army sword fighting with bananas and broken champagne bottles in an apocalyptic, post-nuclear hellscape (if this doesn’t make immediate sense to you…well, then you’re probably a totally normal person; congratulations), but this isn’t the time or the place. Anywho, this remix is going to be unequivocally awesome. Datsik opened with it at EDC LV, so if you were fortunate enough to be there you’ll already be familiar with how massive this is. The build that starts at about 0:32 is insane; so is the heavy, textbook Datsik drop into which it unceremoniously careens. No word on an official release date yet but we’ve got our eyes peeled.
Progressive House | Justin Bieber – Boyfriend (Dada Life Remix)

Two Justin Beiber posts in 24 hours? Oh Hell Yea. However, you really cannot tell that Justin Beiber is the one on the vocals. Maybe if you are a true Belieber you will pick up on the rhythm of his voice, but otherwise Dada Life distorted the voice so much that is could be one of them singing. Dada Life has taken a lot of flack for this, but they asked their fans what was the artist they were least likely to remix and the Biebs was the response and man did they remix the Biebs. The diehard fans will hold their nose at this track, but they are missing out on some stellar music. The new instrumental is not as heavy as we are accustomed to hearing from Dada Life, but it is perfect for the track. The melody provided by Dada Life is top of the line with uplifting synth chords, quick claps and a thumping bass line, taking this track from pop single to a legitimate, peak time club banger.
DJ-Set, Events, House | Inox Festival Toulouse Sets
Posted by Middy on May 12, 2012
Starting off the festival season early and right, Inox Festival in Toulouse France brings together some of the best talent in EDM, bringing in fans from not just all over France but also all over Europe such as Spain, Italy, and Romania. It was a three night weekend festival at full capacity all three nights with the likes of Eric Prydz, Hardwell, Dada Life, Laidback Luke, Swanky Tunes and many more gracing the decks. There was something for everyone with techno, house and minimal being very well represented with Sven Vath, Stephan Bodzin and many more. Of the three nights Eric Prydz had to be the best set just because it is so rare to see him as an American, though he will be touring the states this summer on ID Fest, Swanky Tunes putting together an outstanding set from start to finish with brand new tracks, and Dada Life and Sebastien Benett bringing the highest energy sets, forcing me to walk home at 8am covered in vodka and champagne after Dada Life. The whole thing was madness and after the whole festival I felt like I had been hit by an 18 wheeler for about 2 days, but it was worth it with the amazing artists that graced the decks. Sets were recorded on Fun Radio, so the shouts will be in French, but enjoy these crazy sets. Some of the sets below and more of them and the tracklists after the jump. Eric Prydz set was not recorded.
