The Chicago duo Intermodal is back with a fresh and funky remix of a southern hip hop classic. If you are hip hop or an electronic music fan, odds are you can vibe to this track. It is deep, rigid, and simply grimy at the same time. Intermodal has put together an interesting start to their career through some of these remix choices, I am a fan. I can’t see what these deep house heads have in store for us next. Make sure to grab this booty tech remix of Mike Jones’ Still Tippin. Look who’s creepin, look whos crawlin big ballin in the mix.

Moombahton | Making Movies – Lo Que Quiero (Secret Sauce Remix)

Don’t get me wrong – I’ve been digging a lot of the more popular genre choices by artists today. With that in mind though, there are a lot of styles I really wish would make a comeback – especially Moombahton. Hot out of the studio with a remix of Making Movies’ “Lo Que Quiero,” the homies over at Secret Sauce have begun their own quest in raising the Dave Nada-inspired sound from the dead; and they seem to have done a pretty damn good job, knocking out a chilled track with clean reggaeton vibes. Shout out to our friends at Do Androids Dance for snagging the exclusive on this one – looks like we missed out.

It is my honor to introduce Tray Jack and his latest release “Full Blast” to you all. Tray hit me up yesterday with his SoundCloud via my email, and I dig his sound heavy, and you should to. From the production choices, to his flow and lyricism, Tray Jack has it all, and his song “Full Blast” is a catchy mainstream hip-hop record that incorporates the acoustic guitar and some electro vibes. I really hope with this post, Tray’s talents are recognized and his sound makes its rounds in the blogosphere, because he deserves it. This is a must listen and a must download!

Silver Medallion and Dave Edwards decided to revisit an older original track of theirs, and revamped it with new production and new lyrics to bring us “American Girl 2.0.” Silver Medallion is that dude that will undoubtedly have a hit record at least once through out his music career. It’s only a matter of time for him and his team to branch out to radio, and the mainstream. I’ve always been a fan of his edgy production choices, his vocal melodies, and lyrical word play, and “American Girl 2.0” lives up to that. Get that free download, and enjoy! Must listen and must download!

Events | Size In The Park Expands to 2 Days, Tickets Now On Sale

Posted by on August 6, 2013

After a successful, but rainy and quiet debut to Size in the Park last year, Steve Angello’s Size Matters returns to Central Park in New York City for a second year. This time they have expanded from just one day, to almost a two day festival format. No word on the lineup yet, but I would be willing to bet that it would be some people from Size. Just a shot in the dark, not totally sure though.

Going for the outdoor gig in late September is a bold maneuver because it could get pretty cold at night, especially if it is rainy, but bold choices can pay off. More info at the Size In The Park website here. Tickets are on sale now a few days early, though pre-sale tickets sold out in the blink of an eye.

Dubstep, Review | Reso – Tangram Remixed (Ft. Koan Sound, Billain, Om Unit, & Doshy)

Posted by on March 12, 2013

Reso - Tangram Remixed (Ft. KOAN Sound, Billain, Om Unit, & Doshy)One of the best remix compilations these artists will ever be a part of. Reso really knew who he wanted to do remixes, and his choices are a great success. Each remix is great on their own. KOAN Sound came in a little differently than they have been, but provided enough glitchy bass to feed a starving country… if people were to be able to ingest bass. Billain dropped a filthy Neuro-hop remix followed by an incredible melodic remix from Om Unit. Though I had made my comments on my favorites previously, the full remix of Doshy’s turned out to be more interesting than imagined. 4 great remixes, it doesn’t get better than that.

Dubstep, Electro | Wideboys – Addicted to the Bass (Svyable & PRFFTT Remix)

Posted by on September 26, 2012

This remix is hot! Everyone seems to be blending Electro with Dubstep now, but in my honest opinion everyone is doing a terrible job at it. In addition, the Wideboys have some of the best tracks to remix, “Addicted to the Bass” being one of the best choices to test out this blend of genres. Svyable & PRFFTT shows us that there are still up and coming producers who know how to blend genres and come out with a quality track. This remix of theirs is full of energy, energy powered by bass in true style.
