Finally we we have the official preview and release date of Arty and Matisse & Sadko’s massive track “Trio”. It is to be released on the 5th what I am dubbing “Matisse & Sadko Monday”, because their remix of M-3ox feat. Heidrun – Beating Of My Heart, as played by Arty in his Essential Mix is also getting released. The Russians are coming and there is nothing you can do to stop them. Sebastian Ingrosso released his the second episode of his podcast “Refune Radio”. He continues the trend from the first episode of exclusive and unreleased in the second episode with plays of Nari & Milani – Atom, the aforementioned “Trio”, Axwell’s edit of NO_ID’s massive track “How R U Feeling Right Now”, and more. He catches up with Alesso and they talk about hey they met and came together to collaborate and Seb plays their collaboration “Calling (Lose My Mind), as well as Alesso’s upcoming single “Years”. A great episode with another to come after WMC, which should include some brand new tracks from artists there as well as a clip from a new original track from the Swedish powerhouse. House | Matisse & Sadko – Promo Mix February 2012
Posted by Spice on February 22, 2012
House powerhouses* Matisse & Sadko just dropped a great hour-long mix that’s packed with high-energy bangers and of-the-moment anthems. I love good mixes when they come along — they’re awesome for studying or working because they transition in a distraction-free manner (I used to study to a playlist that literally jumped from piano nocturnes to Daft Punk…incredibly bad planning), and I personally think they’re even better for having people over. Hate it when your friends get drunk and grabby with your music and whine about how they just want to hear “Hot N’ Cold” by Katy Perry? Problem solved. Put this on, hide your iPod, and let the pros DJ for you. The fact that Axwell’s monster remix of “In My Mind” is immediately followed by “Wild One” 2.0 (which is in turn followed by the beautiful Tim Mason remix of Stars Come Out) should honestly be reason enough.
Tracklist:
01. Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Regi – Momentum (Original Mix)

03. Firebeatz – Where’s Your Head At (Original Mix)

05. DubVision – All By Myself (Original Mix)
06. Ferry Corsten feat. Ben Hague – Aint No Stoppin (Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano Dub)

House | Jacques Lu Cont
Posted by Middy on February 19, 2012
The return of Stuart Price, the enigmatic British Producer/ Dj / Remixer has been noticed by quite a few in the EDM community. He is a man who has been producing under his own name as well as monikers such as Paper Faces, Les Rythmes Digitales and Jacques Lu Cont since the early 1990s. It was no accident that he opened for Swedish House Mafia at Madison Square Garden. He had a great set and is ready to make waves this year. His soundcloud currently only has three songs, though his discography is much more rigorous. “Church” has been heavily supported by Pete Tong among others and his remix of Miike Snow’s “Paddling Out” is expected to one of the highlights of the remix package. Jacques Lu Cont is already booked for Coachella, is playing with Axwell during Miami Music Week and plenty of other shows coming into what should be a busy festival season for the resurgent Jacques Lu Cont. He has a prototypical french house sound with upbeat french disco and some heavier electro coming from some obvious Daft Punk influences.
Electro | Michael Calfan – Resurrection (THE MOOGS remix)
Posted by Sev on February 12, 2012
An Italian duo that goes by the name of The Moogs just unleashed this remix of Resurrection that has me in shock. As if Axwell’s remix wasn’t amazing enough, these guys blew it out of the water. Taking the catchy melody provided by Michael Calfan and beefing up it up with deadmau5 esque elecro synths and chainsaw madness! This track is an absolute banger and a must have for all electro and even dubstep fans. Be sure to show these guys some support and like their Facebook page and follow them on Soundcloud.

Progressive House | Adrian Lux feat. Lune – Fire
Posted by Middy on February 7, 2012
Adrian Lux with the help of Lune has finally released this massive progressive house track onto the world after playing this out for the better part of a year. Lune provides sublime vocals for this euphoric track from the young Swede most known for his massive single “Teenage Crime” that was then remixed by Henrik B and Axwell and turned into a worldwide anthem. Sensitive guitar melodies start this one off and lead into a steady bass line and a melodic synth breakdown to die for. Adrian Lux is the man, he pounds brews like it is his job at shows so support him and get this song on Beatport, iTunes or DjTunes (320s cheaper than Beatport). Also look out for his debut album on Ultra Records set to release April 5th.

DJ-Set, Events | Swedish House Mafia @ MSG 12/16/11
Posted by Middy on December 17, 2011
Last night was history, and millions of people around the world with 20,000 in attendance were able to witness Swedish House Mafia becoming the first electronic act to ever headline the historic Madison Square Garden and brought that place to another universe. There are simply no words to describe what happened at Madison Square Garden last night it was that good. Their stage presence was off the charts, the visuals and effects were unreal with fireworks (whaaaaat inside MSG!?!?!) and the song choice and mixing was outrageous. It was the true live experience with all 20,000 people in the crowd belting out the lyrics and melodies to all the songs with Tinie Tempah AND John Martin showing up to do vocals for “Miami to Ibiza” and “Save the World”. The only thing missing was Pharrel doing the vocal version of “One” and the roof may have come down. They played a bunch of upcoming stuff on Size and Axtone and possibly a new song of theirs at the very beginning that was incredible. Listening to this set does not do the night justice, only being there would be true justice to what happened last night, but enjoy this set because it was f*cking incredible. Tracklist after the jump.
UPDATED with a working stream and full video of show.
