Trance | Super 8 & Tab Announce Album & Tour

Finnish trance duo, Super 8 & Tab have been a staple of the Anjunabeats roster in recent years, with contributions on other heavyweight labels like Armada, Garuda and others. They recently announced their sophomore artist album “United”, the follow up to the critically acclaimed “Empire” for release later this month on Anjunabeats. In conjunction with the album, they will be heading out on tour that hits a few cities in Asia and Europe before sweeping across the United States, hitting cities like New York, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco in November. The album hits stores October 27th, but until then take a listen to the phenomenal lead single from the album, “Let Go” featuring Julie Thompson, which will be released October 13th. This tune has been hit with an exorbitant amount of remixes, but I urge you to listen to one more. Moiez back to the old style he did on “Flight” for a more progressive trance sound that would possibly jive with Anjunabeats, adding some big, cascading synth chords to the tune. This is free, so there is no downside to getting this one.

Electro-House, House | Mat Zo – The Up Down Left Right EP

Not too much time left on this, but the master, Mat Zo has released his debut release on his new imprint Mad Zoo under Anjunabeats. He releases his previously released collab with The Knocks, “Get Down 2 Get Up”, alongside a totally new tune that shows the versatility in the Mat Zo production arsenal. “Get Down 2 Get Up” is much funkier than what we have seen and “Left To Right” heavier, so it will be interesting to see if he continues to experiment in the coming months or try and go with this trend, with some drum n bass mixed in.
We will see the direction of the label going forward, whether or not he goes with strictly his own releases, or also finding tracks from new producers and releasing them on Mad Zoo. He will release the songs for free first and then go with a traditional label for release. As we wait for what the future brings, grab the two track EP below for free.

Audien makes his return to Anjunabeats with “Hindsight”, his latest melodic masterpiece. The harmonies and melodies in this track are just so unbelievably good and, dare I say it, uplifting. This is not a track you want to miss out on.

Folks, FNT is getting ready to invade WMC ’14 in Miami with an early morning flight out of New York, and I will be documenting my trip with updates of shows that I will be attending. ilan Bluestone started 2013 with “Sinai“, and this year he kicks things off with another bomb, the aptly named “Spheres”. It has the vintage ilan Bluestone sound that brings together a hard, driving bass line with well-crafted, soothing melodies that are perfect for Anjunabeats. Mr Bluestone had a breakout 2013, living up to the billing of just about every blog’s artist to watch last year, lets see what he can do in 2014 and “Spheres” is a great way to start.

DJ-Set, Progressive House, Trance | Matt Fax – Barr (Andre Sabota Remix)

Madeon may be the most well-known teenage French producer around right now, but not to be igonored is 17 year old Matt Fax, who in the past year has had his tunes played by the likes of Armin, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten, appeared for a guest mix on Group Therapy, and released tunes on Enhanced Recordings, Anjunabeats and other labels. He released “Barr” back in November, but it has been revived with a more upbeat rework from the man himself and a remix from Brazilian progressive house producer, André Sobota. Sobota adds a more progressive feel to the track, keeping much of the original in tact, but injecting a more blissful, soothing vibe to the already very melodic groove. Check them both out below and if you aren’t sick of these mixes already, listen to Matt Fax’s year end mix that mashes 60 tracks into 61 minutes.
