The second single from Avicii’s genre-melding and record breaking album “True”, “You Make Me” gets a remix from Aussie producer, Throttle. Known for his novation launch pad videos, Throttle has also developed a unique skill as a producer that caught the ear of the Avicii camp and landed him a coveted spot as an official remixer for “You Make Me”. He adds his bright, cheery synths to the track, remaking the upbeat pop / dance / country cross-over into a nu-disco tinged dance track that is hard to dislike. Also included on Beatport is the extended version of the track for all of you DJs out there.

Avicii’s “All You Need Is Love” didn’t make the final cut for his album and was only available as a Spotify bonus track. If I had to guess, the reason being for that is probably because, aside from the catchy melody that is in every Avicii song, it was extremely one-dimensional and clearly one of his earlier productions from before his style progressed into what majority of the album consisted of. Maestro Harrell, a DJ, producer, singer and actor from Chicago is the man who gave “All You Need Is Love” some substance and made it into a track worth multiple listens.

The homie Steve Swift, with his first FNT post, put the electro back into Avicii’s hit record “Wake Me Up” and even included hints of dreamy trance, that had me wondering for a second if Robert Miles was behind this. The track starts off with a hard bass that makes you want to rage, and then it’s off to euphoria with a bright piano chord progression. If you’re trying to get the chills, listen to around 2:16, the build reminds me of that good trance from back in the days. This is a must listen and a must download! That ass though, man, what a cover art for Electric Bodega’s latest trap remix of Avicii ‘s “You Make Me!” Electric Bodega is made up of Mike Cash and Emilio Sparks, whom you might know from his show on Sirius XM’s Shade 45, and in my opinion this remix is a lot more fun than the original song, and I’m not just saying that cause of the cover art.
