Hyper Crush

It’s time to go back to the future with the extra-terrestrial trio Hyper Crush, live and direct from Los Angeles’ gr8-1-8 area code, gracing us with their presence due to a malfunction with their flux-capacitor. Real genius Donny Fontaine and intergalactic beauty Holly Valentine handle the vocals while the group’s very own Doc Brown, Preston Moronie, mans the boards. The trio have been banging out tracks together since high school and are now ready for domination. In the last year and a half, their futuristic, electronic, robotic type sounds have gained them notoriety across the country and across the globe; something they got to see up and personal on their recent European tour with Lady Gaga. With their debut album due out on Universal/Motown Records in late 2010, Hyper Crush’s influences truly run the gamut —ranging from the dance-pop of New Order, the electro soundscapes of Giorgio Moroder and Afrika Bambaataa, the punk rock snarl of The Misfits, and the hip-hop attitude of the Wu-Tang—creating digital-trip-acid-punk-funk-hop for today’s Breakfast Club
