One cool thing that happened to me this year was that I got hired on to write for FNT. I have followed this website for years and it has led me to mountains of great music. I’m glad that I now have the opportunity to share music with the website. This year I became a bigger fan of mixes; I love to see what artists can do when given an extended period of time within which they can be creative. Below is the list of 10 mixes that I liked the most from this past year, with some other mixes mentioned at the end that didn’t make this list based on who knows what. The list is more or less ranked in order, with mix #1 definitely being my favourite. If you don’t want to listen to all of the mixes, and don’t care what I have to say about them, then skip ahead and at least listen to the number 1 mix – Space Jams by The M Machine (hence the above, cool picture of those guys). “A.D.D.” is now hitting the road. Episode #10 has 14 new songs by DOSVEC & 4 of them are recorded live in San Francisco & St. Louis. Last week I asked a producer I’ve been keeping my eye on, Sebastian Carter from the UK, if he’d be interested in making an exclusive mix for FNT, which he happily obliged. I personally can’t get enough of this deep house mix he delivered, can’t say that babies were not made during my first listening session. “A.D.D.” (The only Mashup Radio show in America (Airing on 104.3 Las Vegas, 97.7 Palm Springs and 92.7 San Francisco) Episode #9 is entitled “The Vault” as the entire show is of previous unreleased DOSVEC Mashups that have been in his goodie bag for sometime. From Stevie Nicks to The Verve Episode #9 covers 4 decades of music into 55 minutes.

It’s Halloween, and Party Favor’s got some tricks and treats for us with this 3o minute mix of all trap music that’s sure to get all the girls gyrating their asses on the dance floor for the festivities. Techno, turned hardstyle turn electro house behemoths, the duo’s impact on dance music cannot be understated. While Maarten Vorwerk helped introduce the hardstyle kick to mainstream dance music with “Epic”, Showtek made it popular with their own brand of hardstyle infused electro house.
