Posted by Middy on April 15, 2012
These two young Djs put together mixes that are great for a party, studying or casual day drinking. Pierce Fulton puts together a more diverse tracklist from progressive to electro to more mellow house tracks with tracks from Pryda, Mat Zo, Tommy Trash, Pierce himself and others. Ludovika puts together a very unique set in that he uses this set to preview 7 unreleased tracks of his within the the mix. They vary in style from hard hitting electro tracks to big room progressive bombs driven by a strong piano melody. He puts together over twenty tracks in this mix including some quality mashes from various other producers. Tommy Trash provides a diverse selection of the best recent progressive and electro house tracks including some not so well known tracks compiling an excellent tracklist of 14 songs in this hour of EDM mayhem. DJ-Set, House | Martin Solveig – The Night Out (Lenno Remix)
Posted by Middy on April 13, 2012
Above is today’s episode of Hardwell On Air, which includes an exceptional amount of unreleased tracks from the likes of Avicii, Tiesto, Hardwell, Dirty South and more. His weekly radio show is normally exceptional and this weeks episoe takes it up a notch episode is simply outstanding. Tracklist after the jump.
To add to the exceptional remixes done for Matin Solveig – The Night Out, Lenno has provided us with a smooth, funky nu-disco house track that will bring a smile to your face. Lenno has started to make a name for himself lately and should be a name to be reckoned with in the future. Also if you haven’t already, check out the remixes released earlier in the week, including the stunning Madeon remix, the heavy A-trak remix and the recently released grungy TheFatRat remix.
DJ-Set, Trance | W&W – Shotgun
Posted by Middy on April 13, 2012
W&W were able to release single “Shotgun” on Tuesday after a few delays with Beatport (how surprising) and it is a massive track. With the new FNT 2.0 it has been rare for me to post trance tracks so you know this one is really good. This track is hard hitting from the first drop of short choppy bursts of bass and distorted synth to the last drop with the same progression except with big room synths. The build in between sets the stage for the massive drops in the latter part of the track.
Below is their set from ASOT550 in Den Bosch on March 31st, which in my opinion as someone in attendance was the best one there; even with that stacked line-up. Their set had an incredible amount of energy from the first second to the last and they were having a blast up on stage. The amount of unreleased tracks played was a bit absurd and shows the future they have ahead of them. Tracklist after the jump.

DJ-Set, Progressive House | Sebastian Ingrosso Refune Radio #03
Posted by Middy on April 8, 2012
Sebastian Ingrosso is back with the third edition of his world renowned podcast Refune Radio. It is the WMC edition so he actually plays a part of his own live set from the Refune night at Amnesia on Saturday night during WMC. He plays a section of Swanky Tunes’ set from the Refune night as well, which includes their collaboration with Tiesto, to be released on April 24th on Club Life – Volume 2 Miami, “Sending My Love”, the massive “Roll The Dice” and the anthemic Third Party remix of “Otherside”. Seb provides a very good set with songs you would expect from him and of course unveiling a new track, the Thomas Gold remix to “Miike Snow’s “The Wave”, which will be released soon on Axtone. Miike Snow tracks are a favorite of house producers and the remixes are usually quite good and Thomas Gold lives up the high expectations with this one. He also adds unreleased gems such as “Atom”, to be released tomorrow and “Metropolis” to be released on Wednesday.
He talks about Miami and some of his experiences there including going to various parties in Miami and meeting all sorts of Djs out including Afrojack at dinner where he got his new number, which is apparently harder to get than a private jet, and the Dj soccer game between Netherlands and Sweden, which Netherlands won 13-11. DJ-Set, Electro-House, Progressive House | Tiësto & Wolfgang Gartner – We Own The Night ft. Luciana
Posted by Middy on April 6, 2012
Tiesto has released another single off of his much anticipated compilation album Club Life: Volume 2 Miami. This collaboration between Tiesto and Wolfgang Gartner displays both of their unique styles. The track starts with moving string elements and introduces the quality female vocals from Luciana who has become known for her work with Laidback Luke among others. The drop hits with a groovy, techy bass line that is almost identical to one of my favorite EDM tracks ever, Wolfgang Gartner – Space Junk with added synth elements over top and vocals from Luciana. If this track and the others that have been have been previewed in some form or another are indication that this album will nothing short of spectacular. Also below is Magnus & Timon’s Easter mix that puts together a range of tech to progressive tracks that will satisfy all tastes and keep you on your toes from one song to the next. Tracklist after the jump.

DJ-Set, Progressive House | Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes – Apogee
Posted by Middy on April 2, 2012
Russian groups Swanky Tunes and Hard Rock Sofa have combined again to make the track “Apogee” and yet again they make another huge song. This was their WMC track and it has been supported by all the big names. With a driving bass line, an uplifting, moving synth melody in the break and a well crafted ensemble of pitched synths and kicks and claps in the build this is one you need to get. This may be the biggest production together to date from these guys and shows the continuing rise of Russian house music. Also included is the Swanky Tunes Miami Music Week mix with the hottest tracks out right now.. Tracklist after the jump.
