Albums | Marq Electronica Releases Epic Electronic Single “I Thought I Knew It All”

Posted by on March 2, 2022

Marq Electronica has had his foot on the gas for a while now, and he shows no signs of slamming on the breaks. His recent single ‘I Thought I Knew It All’ is the latest in a long line of vibrant singles from the up and coming artist and producer. His self-professed ‘electro world of synth heavy music’ is a whirlwind of striking synth lines and booming bass lines. Yet, ‘I Thought I Knew It All’ takes us into the trance realms of his electronic world.

‘I Thought I Knew It All’ is a track rooted in the pain of losing a relationship you now see you had taken for granted. It’s a song that moves you and gets you moving all at once. It’s rich in echoing piano, with the haunting ache of a vocal full of regret and frustration sailing over the top. In true Marq Electronica fashion, of course, there’s an unrelenting funky synth bass for good measure. With ‘I thought I knew it all’ Marq Electronica delivers a track that has all the funky, dark electro hallmarks of his previous hits. Hits that have earned him over 100,000 streams on Spotify alone. With the moody atmosphere and mesmerising melodies, it’s no doubt this number is set to skyrocket with the release of ‘I Thought I Knew It All’.

Albums | The Fur Releases Stunning Single “Forbidden Fruit”

Posted by on February 21, 2022

From the land that gave you Zara Larsson, ABBA and Avicii, now in storms The Fur. With a solid musical background and a flair for crafting epic and energetic dance-pop, The Fur has dropped a slew of stellar singles this past year. Through collaborations with prominent songwriters and vocalists, THE FUR has in no-time become a name on the pop and EDM scene, with Spotify Editorial placement and a host of tastemaker support.

‘Forbidden Fruit’ is The Fur’s third original single release. With tender, entrancing vocals from Julia Ross, this electro-pop bop is about the kind of love that hurts. We’ve all wanted something we couldn’t have, The Fur just gave us a reason to sing about it. Synth stabs pulse throughout the track, sitting on top of the EDM infused beat below. There’s an intricate intertwining of the electronic and the acoustic. Nicklas Thelin’s guitar line melts into the mix effortlessly, creating a funk that fuels the track forward. Julia Ross’ vocals are outstanding on this track. The smooth tones of her tender vocals juxtapose the effervescent energy of the soundscape below perfectly. The song has a powerful oxymoron at its core – whilst the vibe of the music is smooth and pleasant, the lyrics tell a different story.

Albums | Melodic Techno Artist Burko Unveils His Vocals In “Here Before”

Burko has taken over the SoCal scene by storm with his uniquely dark-yet-melodic style of house and techno. Today, he releases “Here Before” debuting his own sweet falsetto on the track.

Burko tells us: “When I wrote “Here Before” I was in my last bit of grad school, and had a lot of pressure from family to go into a more traditional line of work after graduation. I knew I needed to push myself and the Burko project harder if I was going to move into music full time after graduating, so I decided to do something with this song I had never done before, sing on my own track. Putting nerves aside of letting my singing voice be heard, I wrote these vocals around the theme of “staying the course.” The lyric in the song, “Don’t lose sight of why we’re here” is a reminder to myself not to lose sight of the dream of making music and touring after graduation, instead of a more traditional route. And the title, “Here Before,” refers to the place in my mind I sometimes end up at, when fear of the future sets in and I have to remind myself to stay the course.”

Beginning his production journey only a few years ago, Burko’s music has been picked up and played by many established DJ’s including Kyle Watson, Steve Darko, Wongo, Londonbridge and SNBRN. Key early support from heavy weights allowed for Burko to sail to the forefront of California’s burgeoning underground scene in a very short order. In 2021, Burko headlined the iconic Spin Nightclub, Bang Bang and played the Grand Artique Stage at Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland Festival.

2022 sees Burko rolling out his debut EP, titled Infrared — a 4-track tour de force highlighting the producer’s unequaled style of “Medieval House” music.
