Back during the Winter holidays, Kannibalen Records released a major Christmas compilation. One of the tracks on the project was by the talented young producer Fed-Up. Now, he makes his return to the illustrious label with the original track “Showdem” that will rock your subs. The original dubstep tune is fresh and invigorating, with a dark tone that is just the opposite from what everyone else is going for this Summer season. Usually when a remix project comes along it’s a small EP with a few to several tracks. Apashe didn’t want to do that for his Copter Boy LP. Instead he enlisted sixteen remixers to take on his one-of-a-kind project to make yet another one-of-a-kind project. The remixers include Ganja White Night, Dodge & Fuski, DISKORD, Arius, Goja and many others. All together this LP offers a wide array of sounds and styles, but centers in upon the bass scene. A lot of times when artists release a song, they switch up the second drop a little, but generally it still fits the same vibe as the first. Kai Wachi on the other hand when completely wild and basically wrote two songs in one. His newest single “LUVSICK” has Kai going forward with his usual bass-heavy sound, but then switches things up entirely in the second half, leaving you floored and thinking “is this the same song?” It is. On top of that we get a fiery hip-hop introduction and bridge with the help of rapper Ylti to spice things up even further. “LUVSICK” is major and it’s a must have for all Summer and Fall playlists.

Apashe’s LP Copter Boy was full of hits, one of those being his “Day Dream” collaboration with Splitbreed. After his LP, the Montreal producer secretly tapped some of his friends for official remixes, one of which was the fellow Montreal resident Krimer. Krimer’s heavy dubstep flip of “Day Dream” has been released today through Kannibalen Records as a free download for fans to get excited for the rest of the remixes. All it takes is one and Krimer delivered big. If this was all we got, we’d be satisfied as it is just that good. Get ready to headbang, this one is huge!

The UK’s own Chime continues to churn out melodic bangers like it is no one’s business. It is anyone’s guess how he does it, but this solo DJ is well informed about the secret sauce needed to not only produce tracks fast, but how to make great ones that his audience go rabid for. With “Starstorm”, Chime goes a bit more experimental, working more with sustained, softer synths and less of the quick cuts, hooks, and catchy moments.
With so many songs under his belt, it’s no surprise Chime has over 25K fans across socials and takes pleasure in hanging out with them whenever he can. Chime will be playing shows later in 2017 and, of course, making new music.
