Dubstep | Micky Slim – Brass Rail (Millions Like Us Remix)
Posted by Sev on February 20, 2012
Millions Like Us deciding not to hold back on their most recent remix of Micky Slim’s Brass Rail. Seeing a newer, ever heavier side of Millions like Us on this track and so far it is suiting them well. Starting the track off with some heavy kicks and drums to warn of what is to come. Before you know it you are being consumed by the profound bass lines and growling synths. The melody suits this track impeccably rendering an overall dark feeling.
Electro-House | Candyland, FTampa – Hypnotic (Original Mix)
Posted by Sev on February 18, 2012
Candyland and FTampa giving away this nice freebie Electro-House track to thank the fans for their support. Great progression and melody with some sweet electro sounds. Both of these artist have been releasing some bangers lately so be sure to check out their Soundclouds as well as their Facebooks.
House | Lykke Li – Follow Rivers (Funk D Bootleg)
Posted by Sev on February 17, 2012
I couldn’t be happier bumping into this bootleg by Funk D on Soundcloud. Never heard of this original track before, but after listening to it and listening to this remix I had a little more appreciation for Funk D’s work. The way he singles out the vocals and build’s up with the melody right after is killer. The progressions and smooth transitions go hand in hand to make sure the track is nothing short of a banger.
Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Kannamix – Arkansas Melody (xKore Remix)
Posted by Sev on February 17, 2012
XKore has been cranking out new tunes like no other lately. Although his synth sound is starting to grow on me a little as of late, I still can’t help but be sucked in to listen to his intense, fast paced drumstep remixes. He went all out on this one with heavy a bassline and laser synths to melt your brain.
House | Tensnake – Coma Cat (Stanton Warriors Re Bump)
Posted by Sev on February 15, 2012
I can remember jamming out to the original of this song all throughout 2010 when is was first released. The steel drum in the melody and the classic house vibe through this track give of euphoric vibes. Stanton Warriors decided for Valentine’s Day they would revive this classic house banger with a nice Re-Bump Bootleg, upping the tempo and adding some more drums and bass. This Stanton Warriors Re-Bump definitely added in the missing piece from the original.
Moombahton | :DFace & Sazon Booya – Let It Be
Posted by Sev on February 14, 2012
What a dope collaboration for a Moombahton track. Sazon Booya, who have been supported by Skrillex, Nadastrom and many other artist, and : Dface create a hell of an original with : Dface featured on the vocals. : Dface is really showcasing to us his true potential, and I don’t want to jinx him but he is going to blow up pretty soon. The track starts of with heavy drums and cut up vocals while slowly progressing into a killer melody. Then the vocals kick in which harmonize with the track flawlessly. The drop is created with the precise amount of bass for a Moombahton track and some refined synths to get you moving. I know I say this a lot but this track is without a doubt a MUST HAVE!
Dubstep | 501 Headrush ft. Belle Humble / Falling Skies
Posted by Sev on February 14, 2012
501’s long awaited two track EP “Headrush ft. Belle Humble / Falling Skies” released yesterday on beatport, and they are some of the highest quality dubstep tracks. We put up the radio edit to Headrush last week, as it was given away on UKF, but it was too short and unfulfilling. With the full track out now, you can enjoy this outstanding track and all of its glory. The second track, Falling Skies, is something new and refreshing to hear from this not so highly known producer. Both of these releases are what I like to call, tasteful dubstep because they aren’t too heavy on the bass and synths, but at the same don’t disappoint you either. I know 501 put a lot of work and time into both of these tracks because they have been in the making for a while now and it can be heard throughout the track. From the wide variety of sounds, to the superb buildups and progressions these tracks are a must have.
