This Mac Miller track just recently surfaced. I’m guessing that this is the verse that he either sent to or was used for the Rocky Diamonds version we posted here back in December. Either way, this Mac only version is a keeper.

Minneapolis rapper Gaines drops a video for his 2nd single off his upcoming album, The Night Crawler. This is definitely a unique video with a concept that is on point. It has almost a dark, creepy feel to it. Lookout for more Gaines in the very near future. He is just preparing to shoot a video with Mod Sun for a dope new party track. Mod Sun just released his most recent project, First Take: The Acoustic Sessions. He recorded this entire project in one night, all the songs are recorded on the first take without any effects. Pat Brown is playing the guitar and singing some of the hooks, while Mod Sun lays the verses. This is a nice acoustic compilation of some of his previous songs. I like these versions because you can really listen to the detail in the lyrics he’s written. The project definitely portrays the artist that Mod Sun is, whether it be his lyrics or painting his own cover art. Leave some feedback and follow Mod Sun on Twitter!

Can’t help but cheese from cheek to cheek when you get a new joint from Mac Miller. This is some of the first music we have heard from him since the release of Blue Slide Park. The song has a really chill sound to it and is dope nonetheless. Mac even called it ” the illest bars ive spit in a long time.” This track was recorded earlier tonight and delivered fresh off the vinyl. Fitting, considering it’s dedicated to Mac’s favorite record store, Jerry’s, in Pittsburgh.

It has been some time since we’ve heard anything new from Tayyib Ali, but today he drops something new for the fans. This Astronauts produced track is titled “Tomorrow”. Tayyib is an artist who I’ve always respected and continue to follow. He has always brought a good variety of music to the table and continues to grow as an artist. Mod Sun drops the first single off his upcoming project, Gordon Bombay. If you don’t know who Gordon Bombay is he’s the coach in the movie The Mighty Ducks. The movie happens to take place in Minnesota, the state where he’s from. This track is pretty dope I dig mods hippy hop style.
