Bei-bay is throwing out something new and different…well, for Bei Maejor that is. Usually with chill dropped beats and witty lyrics, Bei is dropping a dance-ish mix. Maybe all his work with Mike Posner inspired him to expand his horizons. Its fun to dance to, but its strange that its Bei. Jury is out on how comfortable I feel. More importantly though its fun to spin and jump around to, basically the main two requirements for creating a dance-ish pop/R&B song.

IT IS 2012! That means we have 11 months and 21 days to be extra mischievous. I’ve already broken my new years resolutions so I’m not really into being holier than thou the year of 2012. XV killed it in 2011, so I want to see how he goes in 2012. He’s hating on social media in this song, which I get. Maybe 2012 I’ll delete facebook off my iPhone…maybe…ugh..wait…no.

XV is BLOWING UP lately. Just a year ago, no one would of really paid that much attention to all of his releases, but that was a year ago and here we are now. This is chill rap, you’re not going to be dancing like you would to Big Sean’s DANCE. This collaboration with Betty Trouble might be one of XV’s better moves, it offers a range to his song that he couldn’t of conquered by himself. The addition of female vocals adds a certain je ne sais quoi, don’t ya think?

I’ve been stranded on campus for four days now, do you care? No, but I’m going insane and none of the international students left on campus will talk to me. I tried and I have received no acceptance. I am imagining I am doing what Khalifa is rapping about during the hook. Using my imagination that I’m not stuck in this creepy square white room. Using my imagination this dining hall food that I snuck out tastes good. It’s not working, but I’m still enjoying the song. Whatever.

Enter the onslaught of 2011 remixes! I’m embracing them this year, I told myself I would be more embracing in the year of 2011 for my new year’s resolution last year. I haven’t kept it, but its never too late! Sex Ray Vision always delivers, but I think with a little more spacing and a deeper exploration of each song that this could of be a SUPER big hit for the end of the year bashes. We’ll see if this was just a rough draft.

Dot Da Genius & Kid Cudi sweep today’s new releases for me. It’s only 2 minutes so don’t get too emotionally attached and the full version should be out in cyberspace at some point. If you’ve heard Cudi, you’re getting Cudi. BOOM. Instant gratification.

Los, the Baltimore newcomer, is spitting absolute fire these past couple tracks I’ve listened to. Obvy for me I post the XV, just to keep all of my posts connected somehow. I know everyone is about to hit finals or holidays, both of which lead to excessive drinking, eating, all nighters and working out (haha just kidding) (working out pft) so this is a bomb pump up song about getting what you want.
