After a brief hiatus, I’m back and ready to give you some tunes guaranteed to make you feel giddy inside. Instead of my regular hip-hop posts, I’m broadening my horizons with this volume including some electronic artists and other various genres. Prepare yourselves.

1) Cherub

Luckily I was able to see Cherub last weekend and they blew me away. Their synthy pop sound gives off an state of ecstasy that is guaranteed to get you grooving and bopping your head. Cherub hails from Nashville and has actually been around for a little bit, but has failed to receive the praise they deserve. Their Doses and Mimosas video (which is my favorite track by them), has over 600,000 views on youtube and I definitely see them blowing up very soon. Check out the video below and check out their Facebook, Twitter, and Soundcloud pages below.

2) Jurab
Jurab is a Dutch producer that is definitely on the rise. Following the Dutch house movement, Jurab also has phenomenal production with moombahton beats that are guaranteed bangers. Make sure to check out his social media outlets a couple of his tunes below.

3) The Underachievers

Part of the Beast Coast movement with Joey Bada$$, The Underachievers add to the great emerging rap scene in New York. The Underachievers just dropped off a brand new mixtape, Indigoism, that is receiving great praise. Definitely get up on these guys, you won’t regret it. Make sure to grab the tape below and show some love to their Facebook.

4) Overdoz

I recently found out about this brand new rap group called Overdoz hailing from LA, and I’m very intrigued by their sound. They embody a trap rap sound but also mix it up with some R&B and also some more radio-friendly beats that appeal to all audiences. They even have a feature from the Trippy Mane himself, Juicy J. Expect to be seeing a lot more of these guys on the site.

5) New Pioneers

I’ve been craving that 90s sound in rap today, which is why I find myself reverting to old rap but these guys definitely bring that sound to their music. Reigning from Portland, the New Pioneers lyrics allow us reminisce of the 90s sound that compliments their instrumentals so well. Peep some of their sounds below.

That wraps it up for this volume of What’s in Dshaq’s tape deck. Hope you guys enjoy.
