LAMIA Releases “Angel,” a Haunting Glimpse Into Upcoming Album Nighthawks

Avant-garde artist and producer LAMIA returns with her powerful new single “Angel,” out now via AWAL and taken from her upcoming album Nighthawks (spring 2026). Blending ambient soundscapes, deconstructed-club energy, and post-trance atmospherics, “Angel” delivers a euphoric yet intimate listening experience that further cements LAMIA as a rising force in underground electronic music.
An MMus graduate of Goldsmiths and alum of Leeds Conservatoire and The BRIT School, LAMIA has built a reputation for boundary-pushing performances, with standout shows at Berghain, BBC Introducing Live Sessions, and the Berlin Music Video Awards, where BBC Introducing’s Alan Raw praised her as “one of the best live performers we have ever had.” Her work has also earned attention from CLASH, DMY, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, and KALTBLUT.
Written and produced during a difficult London winter, “Angel” became a beacon of hope for the artist. “Creating Angel was like a light that appeared and guided me through the darkness,” LAMIA says, citing inspiration from Mark Fisher’s concept of hauntology.
Following her acclaimed single “Cobra”—whose music video screened at the Berlin Music Video Awards and won Best Music Video at the Berlin Kiez Film Festival—“Angel” signals the next chapter in LAMIA’s cinematic, emotionally rich world. As anticipation builds for Nighthawks, she continues to redefine the edges of electronic music and performance in London and Berlin’s underground scenes.
