Australian rock band Vermantics released their new EP, The Pictures You Paint, on July 4, 2025. The EP consists of four tracks that explore themes related to human connection, including empathy, perception, and emotional vulnerability.
The EP begins with “Come Alive,” characterized by a strong and intense sound, and concludes with “Open Up Your Dreams,” which offers a more reflective tone. The tracks “How Does It Feel” and “Fake It” address understanding others’ experiences and the difference between appearance and reality.
Vermantics are known for their energetic live performances, and this energy is present in the recordings on the EP. The band co-produced the EP with Phil Threlfall, and it was mastered by Grammy-nominated Andrei Eremin.
The band is composed of brothers Stefan and Daniel Fedele, guitarist Jack Stevenson, and drummer Julian Perrotta. Their sound combines influences from 1960s melodies, 1970s rock, and 1990s alternative music with modern elements. Following a successful UK tour with sold-out shows, the band continues to gain recognition.
The Pictures You Paint is available on all major streaming platforms. Vermantics will support Perth’s Late 90s in concerts scheduled for July 5 in Adelaide and July 6 in Melbourne and have plans for another UK tour later this year.
