Dillon Francis has been slowly rising to fame after touring around with Skrillex for a while and being recognized as one of the top producers in Moombahton. Last night was the first time I had seen him live, and without a doubt it was one of the best shows I have been to all year. Right off the bat, I recommend anyone who has a chance to see him live do so, or else you will regret it for a long time. I can’t remember any instance in the night where the crowd wasn’t dancing or jumping while Dillon was on the decks. Track after track were just constant bangers ranging from Moombahton, to Electro, to Dubstep, and a few new unreleased goodies as well. The mixing between songs was done to a perfection without any hiccups that we constantly see during many other artists shows. Although many people say this doesn’t make a difference for them, I would have to disagree. Mark your calendars for his new 3 song EP releasing on Feb. 14th through OWSLA titled “Something, Something, Awesome”. I managed to get a few videos, but you have to excuse the iPhone quality and the 18 subwoofers inside Republic Live.
Heres the EP teaser as well.
Read on for footage from the show.
