Celebrated for producing top-tier festivals on all six inhabited continents, Ultra Worldwide will return to Asia this month for a multi-country tour.
The ULTRA Asia Tour 2022 will kick off with ULTRA Japan as the festival returns for its seventh edition at Odaiba Ultra Park II on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 . Festival headliners include Afrojack, KSHMR, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, Timmy Trumpet, and Zedd with support from a range of bubbling regional acts. Ultra’s award-winning techno and house music concept RESISTANCE will once again take over Womb Tokyo for another impressive edition of RESISTANCE Tokyo on Saturday, September 17. The world-class, four-floor nightclub will host the world debut of ‘POPOF B2B Space 92 present: Turbulences, who will be co-headlining with Beatport chart-topping regular Julian Jeweil. Following ULTRA Japan, ULTRA Korea will make its highly-anticipated return for the festival’s ninth edition at the iconic Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The event will span two days from Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25 across three stages including Main Stage, RESISTANCE, and UMF Radio. A bevy of headliners will be making their ULTRA Korea debuts, including Marshmello, Oliver Heldens and Timmy Trumpet. Returning fan-favorite Main Stage headliners include Martin Garrix, KSHMR, and Nicky Romero.

After nearly five years since the last edition, ULTRA Beach Bali will make its return on Thursday, September 29 – Friday, September 30 for the festival’s fourth edition. To mark this highly-anticipated comeback, the festival will take place at a brand new venue this year at the picturesque oceanfront Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Kuta in Kuta, Bali,located on the Indian Ocean. The forthcoming ULTRA Beach Bali lineup promises to continue the tradition of welcoming distinguished artists from around the world.

I’ve seen a good amount of remixes to Marcus Schossow’s “Lionheart”, but none have captured me as much as Jenaux’s breathtaking remix of the track. Keeping the beauty of the original, Jenaux added his signature progressive twist to the song and made it something that I’m sure we’ll be hearing at every major festival. Protocol Recordings, Nicky Romero’s record label, just hit us with a huge electro-house track by that crazy Russian duo who go by the name of Ispolins, and the story behind the record is a story in itself! Having submitted this track as a demo, one half of the group personally flew out to Protocol Recordings studio in hopes of personally handing the track to Nicky, and with luck and persistence on his side, they were able to do just that, even being invited on Protocol Radio to share their story, and music. “Isoplins” is a refreshing synth heavy, drop heavy electro-house record, far away from the gimmick records we’ve been fed these past months! This is a must listen and a must download!

Didrick is a young producer from Sweden who has flown under the radar of pretty much everybody not from that area. He has done official remixes for Avicii & Nicky Romero’s “I Could Be The One” as well as Cazzette’s “Beam Me Up” and yet he is not very well known. It’s safe to say the main reason for that is because his catalogue of releases is extremely small, with just those two songs being on it. Another entry to that catalogue was made however when Didrick released his first single, “A Part Of You”, not long ago. Quite simply, the song is really good. If he keeps making tracks like this then there’s no doubt he’ll become just as household a name as Ryan Seacrest. Sadly, the song is only out in Scandinavian countries at the moment so give his Facebook a like and stay up to date on the worldwide release. He says it’ll be soon.

The “Happy” remixes are coming and they are coming quickly, but thankfully Sevag lent his talents to the tune. The original is catchy and happy enough to make a man cry, but Sevag gives you a change of pace from what you have been hearing constantly on the radio, TV and elsewhere. He adds some tasteful, bouncy big room with booming synths and well crafted builds. It has already been supported by Nicky Romero, Promise Land and Matisse & Sadko, so you know something is there. Upcoming, Sevag has a tune with Henrix “Latina” that was premiered by Dannic on his radio show that you will want to stay tuned for.

It seems like just yesterday that SHM was giving their teary farewell to Miami, WMC and the world at Ultra’s main stage. Now with UMF and Miami Music Week just a month and a half away, the party announcements are coming in and one your should be paying attention to is from Nicky Romero and his Protocol Recordings. A day party on Thursday, March 27th, at the Liv Ocean club, from 2pm – 11pm, this is going to be great with him the Protocol Recordings crew. The lineup has not been announced yet, but you can speculate based on recent releases on Protocol that guys like Tritonal, Paris Blohm, Don Diablo and Hard Rock Sofa might be there.
