Dubstep | Myon & Shane 54 + Late Night Alumni – Under Your Cloud (Mr FijiWiji Remix)

Posted by on June 4, 2014

I know I just recently posted about Mr FijiWiji but this track is so beautiful I can’t resist. Mr FijiWiji nailed this remix of “Under Your Cloud” by Myon & Shane 54 and Late Night Alumni. The vocals are killer and the buildups to the melodic drops are nothing short of phenomenal. The piano adds a melancholy touch, as well as the vocal warping in the second half of the track. Sometimes it just feels like Mr FijiWiji can do wrong! Grab this remix off Beatport to show your support!

In his first release since his collaborative efforts on  “Colors”, Paris Blohm has taken on the task of remixing Seven Lions and Myon & Shane 54’s “Strangers”. The remix has his typical full sounding production which keeps itself in the pleasant middle ground between the uplifting sound and the harder hitting stuff.

Compilation, Featured, House | Top 50 Dance Tracks Of 2013 (Including 50-41)

Top 50 dance tracks of 2013

Yes we know, you may be “top _____ of 2013” listed out, but bear with us as we present you our top 50 dance tracks of 2013. In the past we have done just big room / progressive, but here we attempt to take on the whole genre, from trap to progressive to deep house. A few ground rules and biases for how these tracks were selected. “Top” means biggest and best. So the most supported and played out tracks, first and foremost, but also our own bias as well to make this list not just a carbon copy of every other one you have read. All of us are based in the US / Canada, so our perception of what is played live is a largely US worldview, though we try and take a step back. The songs have to have been released in 2013. So tracks like “Easy”, “I Could Be The One”, “Alive”, “Clarity” and “Harlem Shake”, while all huge in 2013, won’t qualify for the list because they were released in 2012. Tough luck, but I think the artists will manage. Check out 50-41 after the jump and at the end find links for 40-31, 30-21, 20-11 and the best of the best, 10-1.

So this track came out of absolutely NO WHERE. My jaw hit the floor when I saw Armin tweet this preview and I have yet to pick it up after hearing it. This is pure unabated trance that we saw from Arty from his Alpha 9 days and sprinkled in after. Bask in the pure bliss of this track and get ready for its release on February 14th as a part of the 10 edition of A State Of Trance compilation. Speaking of said compilation, the tracklist was released today and it is monstrous. With new tracks from Armin & W&W (what?!), JOC, BT, Gaia, Heatbeat, Andrew Rayel, Omnia, Aly & Fila and many more, this will be a must have for any trance fan. Click past the break to see the full tracklist. UPDATED with a longer sample.

Preview, Trance | Above & Beyond – Alchemy (Above & Beyond Club Mix and Myon & Shane 54 Redemption Mix)

Posted by on November 19, 2012

Devotees of Above & Beyond, rejoice — the long-awaited club mix for “Alchemy” has finally dropped. “Alchemy” is quite possibly my favorite track on Group Therapy so do yourself a favor and listen to the first few minutes if you’re not familiar with this insanely luminous and beautiful song. The club mix is the version that the trio has used in their live sets for the past several months, so if you’ve been fortunate enough to catch them on tour you will almost certainly recognize it. As in their past club mixes, they’ve layered in a harder bassline and big, shimmering synths but have left the emotional core of the song intact (thank goodness). Included in this package is an extended album cut, so if you’re like me and still can’t get enough of Zoe Johnston’s vocals in the chorus you’ll probably want to add that to your Beatport cart as well.

Also keep an eye out for Myon & Shane 54’s upcoming Redemption Mix (above), which Above & Beyond featured last Friday on ABGT 002 and which is set to drop on December 3. This remix has a dark, trancey vibe that’s a bit more intense than the club mix.

Trance | Markus Schulz feat. Seri – Love Rain Down (Myon & Shane 54 Summer Of Love Remix)

Posted by on September 23, 2012

Ever since starting their Summer Of Love remix series back in 2010, Myon & Shane have spiced up trance hits with their infallible summer remixes that remain hits year round. With his artist album “Scream” being recently released, and being crowned the number 1 DJ in America (Steve Aoki was second, seriously guys?), Markus Schulz has been on a tear recently and now prepared to roll out some stellar remixes for singles on the album. This Summer Of Love remix adds a more melodic side to the track, adding electro stabs and layering the vocals, while still keeping the upbeat tempo of the original. With their Summer Of Love remix of Velvetine – The Great Divide set to release tomorrow, these guys are making the most of the Summer Of Love remix series as Autumn is ushered in.
