I am not even settled in to my new abode over here in Toulouse, France, but I had to get you guys some fire because I have been AWOl the past few days because my grandma does not have internet at her place. Cazzette was nice enough to give away their much anticipated single “Killmode” in the bootleg with the lyrics from Fatboy Slim’s “Right Here, Right Now”. Killmode may be their best single to date and to have it be for free makes it even sweeter, so do not pass up on this gem from the Swedish duo. This is a great way to start 2012 for these guys to watch out for what they do the rest of the year.

Dayyyum, there’s really no two ways about this people, this track is infectious. All I Wanna Do Is Party is the whole package… from the addictive melodic beat, to the laid back lyrics, to the chorus that quickly harkens back summer in the dead of winter. Spadez, enlisted the help of former band member SeanZy to hop on the track, and put together some dope “feel good” visuals to go along with it. According to P-Holla, “after first hearing Collin McLoughlin’s Chasing Dreams I was immediately inspired by the message and feel of the song.” Well this inspiration drove him to create his own version of the track in which he used his own spin on the lyrics to create a dope beat an hook and then laced that with some smooth verses.

Great beats, a good flow, and solid lyrics always equal a quality mixtape. Suffolk County native, Quiet Storm, gives us that recipe in his new mixtape, Name In Lights. The tape offers great variety with upbeat songs like “Rollin” and “La La La” but then changes and gives a chill laid back beats with ones such as “Good Days” and “Live it Up”. He even goes over Mac’s la la la from Mac’s KIDS mixtape. Overall a quality mixtape that you should definitely grab and look for more good things to come from Quiet Storm.
