Electro-House, Preview | Robert Delong – Global Concepts (Tommie Sunshine & Live City Remix) [Preview]

Robert Delong - Global Concepts (Tommie Sunshine & Live City Remix)

I was not ready for this one. I knew Live City could turn out some heavy stuff, but this is a whole new level. They completely strip the original instrumental, and add their own gritty, powerful electro drop with slower, melodic builds to match the somber vocals. The track has been around and the label is dragging their feet on this one, so Glassnote lets get this going and release this bad boy.

Electro-House | Zach Matari – The New (Live City Remix)

Posted by on September 13, 2012

NYC duo, Live City are no strangers to FNT with their blend of jarring electro beats and progressive chord play. While great female vocals always work with house music, a male vocal that flows over a dance beat is really something to be appreciated and Zach Matari has that going here. Live City take advantage of the vocals, adding carefully crafted builds creating a full harmony that breaks down into a drop of grinding electro saws and thumping bass. Live City have been quiet of late, but when producers are quiet that means there is great things in store.

Progressive House | The Wanted – Glad You Came (Live City Re-Booty)

I know that this song is overplayed and has been remixed quite a few times, but if there is something we have learned in the past with the producer duo from New York City, Live City, it is that you have to give them an attentive listen when they make a new song. The beats they churn out are consistently top of the line, and this remix is no different. They keep a fair amount of the vocals from the original, though they are altered some and then they add their twist to the track with a big drop of a pounding bass line and aggressive chopped up synth chords.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Rihanna – Where Have You Been (Live City Remix)

Posted by on May 18, 2012

Live City gives us an aggressive take on Rihanna’s hit “Where Have You Been”. Giving the song a live makeover with heavy dutch influences, Live City takes song and flips the instrumental into their standard electro madness we have come to expect from them. With subtle piano leads, dutch infused electro breaks and an impressive interlude of progressive synths and chopped, distorted vocals, these guys impress me more and more with every release.

Also after the jump are two more remixes of “Where Have You Been” from Averez & Kevin Miller. Kevin Miller provides a more progressive take on the track with uplifting synths in the break and Averez gets into the track with hard hitting bass and a grimy electro drop.

Electro-House | Calvin Harris – Let’s Go (Live City’s T.K.O Knockout Remix)

Posted by on April 30, 2012

Live City have decided to take on the Calvin Harris single with Ne-Yo “Let’s Go” and remixed it in their hard electro style. It keeps the catchy vocals from Ne-Yo, but flips the instrumental almost entirely on its head leaving some of the original intact in the verses, but adding low end electro synths and heavy drops to give the track more energy and bite. This is a nice change of pace for those who wanted a little more from the original mix and the Calvin Harris remix didn’t cut for them.

Electro-House | Live City – Welcome To The Madhouse (Original Mix)

Posted by on April 2, 2012

This song starts out heavy and only gets heavier. For all of you people looking for some dark, hard electro, this one will satisfy your needs. These guys have been very busy having just dropped a 4 song EP 2 weeks ago and they are already releasing another electro house banger. This one starts heavy from the first second and though the build moves to smooth, well formulated synth melodies, the song never lets up into the drop of heavy, pulsing, distorted synths and a pounding bass line. If you like this don’t forget to check out their first two EPs: #1 – “Live City EP“, #2 – “Liver Than Ever EP“.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Live City – Liver Than Ever EP

Live City are back again with another EP that is able to match the quality of the last one. A 4 song EP consisting of 3 originals and an edit of Bingo Player – Rattle, this EP has something for everyone. They mix heavy electro synths and distortions with smooth progressive synths to create a total package in each song. The production is top notch and each song is creative and different in their own right. The first track “My Robot will F*ck You Up” may be the track that helps give them some real popularity and set them on the path to success because it is a massive with an uplifting build of progressive and rising synths with stutters and then crescendos into a huge heavy electro drop. The other songs are all very good, with a personal favorite being “Lexington” and the whole EP is free so do not miss this.
