Pushing back the release of this remix package a few days due to the release of their remix of Miike Snow “Bavarian #1 (Say You Will)“, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman present the remixes of their 3rd single this year “Pieces Of Light” featuring LA native Jonny Rose on the vocals. Dutch duo, Sick Individuals start things off with most heavily supported remix of bunch, pitching up the build, allowing Jonny Rose’s vocals to shine and flipping the drop into heavy electro house. Denzal Park slowly build you into a thunderous drop, layering a decisive low-end and progressive synth chords. Henrix goes back to what has been his calling card since the name change, high energy, frenetic bass lines and variety of percussions that dominate the drop.

What was once a 5 song remix package has been cut down to 3 remixes for the young Stockholm native’s Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s latest single “Pieces Of Light“. They tab young guns SICK INDIVIDUALS, Denzal Park, & Henrix to add new life to this track with SICK INDIVIDUALS adding a grinding electro drop, Denzal Park pumping more energy into the progressive break and Henrix continuing his current trend of percussion heavy tracks. The remix package will be out December 17th on EMI.

Following his huge free 5 track EP, “Miami Heaters Vol 1“, Henrix takes a stab at Laidback Luke’s late season progressive track with Angger Dimas & Polina “Night Like This”. He combines his percussive heavy drops with a well placed piano melody that helps bring out Polina’s emotive vocals. Henrix as an ode to his much adored Miami Heat has put out this free 5 track EP, taking us on a journey from more stripped down percussion heavy drops to those anthemic, big room hands in the air moments. Henrix has become a name to watch after latest single “Let’s Rave” as well as his upcoming single “Hit It” with GTA and Digital Lab that was just signed to a major label and another track getting signed to Mixmash. The EP starts with “Encore” a stripped down festival sized track that follows in the same manner as “Let’s Rave” with the big, anticipatory build and then pounding, reverbed drums come exploding out at you as the drop hits. “Are You Ready”, “Bonkers” and “Destiny” utilize grinding synth chords to accentuate well formulated bass lines, creating high energy tracks. “King” brings me back a little to his old work as Pedro Henriques, going for the big room sound, while still showing the evolution that has come with the name change in Henrix. This is an EP filled with superb, varied bass lines and a diverse and unique sound. Henrix continues to impress with each passing production, so don’t sleep on this EP or him as he continues to make waves this year and into the future.

Henrix has been on a roll lately with his single “Let’s Rave” on Mixmash getting support from DJs far and wide including by Laidback Luke during his appearance on Pioneer DJ Sounds (seriously watch and take notes if you are a DJ), as well as his upcoming single with GTA & Digital lab getting preliminary support from Kaskade, Laidback Luke, Steve Angello & Tiesto, (look for a major label deal on this one), Henrix is establishing himself as a name to be reckoned with. The EP, which will be released next Monday, features a whole range of productions from the percussive heavy “Encore” and “Bonkers” to the more progressive “Destiny” to the more genre fusing tracks in “Are You Ready”. With the aforementioned support and this free EP getting ready to make waves next Monday, October 1st, Henrix is going to be a name to watch for the end of 2012 and into 2013.

Henrix, formerly Pedro Henriques, follows the path set forth by those before him with songs like “Epic” and “Atom” that instead of relying on anthemic, big room drops, go for the stripped down percussion elements that consistently drive a crowd into a frenzy. “Lets Rave” takes us on a journey from the ominous beginning setting the tone for the high energy drop with quick percussive jabs and rolling bass lines. This club ready track has already gained support from the likes of Tiesto, Laidback Luke and Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman and with “Hit It“, a collab with GTA, Digital Lab and Van Toth that potentially will be signed to Mixmash, the future looks bright for the hardworking Miami native.

With that in mind, and trying to garner support from his fans, Henrix has been nice enough to give away this gem for free. This track starts with a delicate piano melody and superb topline from Stacey Michelle, giving the build an added energy that brings us into a drop of a smooth synth progression and steady bass line.
