Contests, Events, Featured | Manufactured Superstars — Zombies in Love (Video/Remix Package) // EDC NYC TICKET GIVEAWAY

Posted by on April 5, 2013

Happy Friday, everyone. We’ve got some great stuff going on so buckle in and get ready. First up is the awesome music video for “Zombies in Love,” the bubbly, warm weather-ready new single from Manufactured Superstars. Thanks to some seriously nifty stop-motion animation, we’re transported to a Lego galaxy far, far away, where our spacesuit-loving protagonists are busy presiding over an intergalactic rave. I won’t divulge the ending but it’s sweetly and unexpectedly heartwarming. Is Lego animation the next big trend in music videos? Too soon to tell, but I certainly hope it catches on. If you can’t get enough of this track, you’re in luck — a massive remix package is set to drop on April 9 via Big Beat / Magik Musik and we’ve got the previews below.

If you’re still not satisfied, it’s really your lucky day — we’re giving away one pair of tickets to Electric Daisy Carnival NYC at Citi Field, where Manufactured Superstars will be performing in May. To enter to win, all you have to do is be 18 or older and “like” their Facebook page by following the instructions below. We’ll randomly select a winner on April 30. Not too shabby, eh?

On the road to Insomniac’s flagship event, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Daisy Carnival will return to New York for its second year, but this time with a change of scenery. EDC New York will move from Metlife Stadium at the Meadowlands to Citi Field, where people suffer through Mets games. It will take place Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18th, a departure from the 3 day format from last year and what is usually seen with EDC. Not sure why there was the change, but it is pretty disappointing seeing as Friday will probably start late and both dates will almost surely end at 11pm, so you really only have 1.5 days. Insomniac knows what it is doing, but the parking lot at Citi Field is not as big as it is at Metlife Stadium, so it will be interesting to see the layout of the stages. Tickets go on sale February 8th at 12pm EST and will be $159 for GA two day passes and $299 VIP two day passes. More info at the EDC website.

This weekend, the outrageous three-day extravaganza better known as Electric Daisy Carnival heads east for the first time. Will you be in New York? Will you be anywhere remotely near New York? Are you still bummed you couldn’t get tickets to SHM at MSG? Have you ever wondered what would happen if you replaced 100,000 screaming Giants fans with 100,000 furry-booted ravers? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you should probably plan on swinging by Metlife Stadium — because you’d be insane to miss out on this experience.

Individual passes for Friday and Saturday are sold out, but you can still purchase three-day passes and passes for Sunday (when Bassnectar, Afrojack, Dirty South, Sub Focus, Nero, Chuckie, Borgore and many more amazing artists will be performing). GET TICKETS HERE.

I’ve also prepared an EDC guide for those of you who will be attending the festival. Read on for my suggested itinerary for each day and some handy tips that are guaranteed to help you survive the weekend.
