Albums, Progressive House | Leventina – Revolution + Album Preview
Posted by Middy on December 19, 2011
Leventina is a Swiss duo who are ready to be take the scene by storm. I posted these guys before with one of my favorite songs of the past couple months, “We’re Gonna Start” and if that did not sell you on how good these guys are, these two songs should convince you. These are not standard progressive or electro house songs, there is a lot of creativity and energy in these songs that will separate these guys from other artists. They have an album coming out next year with an expected release date in March and I eagerly await its release. Check out the soundcloud preview below for a sneak peak at the first half of it. Get to know these guys, because they have what it takes to go big time. Get these tracks on Beatport HERE. Like them on Facebook & Twitter as well.

Hip-Hop, Rap | Kid Daytona f. Melanie Fiona – Love Is Love
Posted by GMONEY on December 13, 2011
Kid Daytona recruits R&B singer Melanie Fiona to supply the hook for his latest leak off his upcoming project Interlude II. Love Is Love is chill hip hop song with an extremely smooth hook. The Interlude II drops next Monday (12/19).
For those of you who haven’t heard of Kid Daytona yet he’s from The Bronx and has dropped three projects in his short career. Never settling for just good enough, 2010 saw The Kid Daytona align his potential with the cutting edge fashions of the popular clothing company L-R-G. No bigger payoff came as they collaborated on Daytona’s best release to date, “The Interlude LP.” As a disciple of Hip-Hop’s rich and sacred culture, Daytona felt like it was time to give fans hungry for more beef than broth “a break from what had become the norm.” Taking subtle interludes from storied albums from the likes of Kanye West, Pete Rock, A Tribe Called Quest and Dr. Dre. Download his previous project, The Interlude.
Albums, Hip-Hop, Videos | Ryan Leslie- Beautiful Life (Video)
Posted by GMONEY on November 30, 2011
As promised, Ryan Leslie takes us to Paris with sidechick ladyfriend in toe. There’s been considerable debate about Ryan Leslie’s skills as a MC, but from this track alone it’s apparent that he’s stepped up his lyrical content. “Beautiful Lie” serves as the first of eight promotional visuals that Ryan will drop leading up to his “Les Is More” project. Although there’s no date yet, this is a body of work I’m excited to hear in its totality. Ryan Leslie used to be the underdog, Ralph Macchio. Now you see him stuntin’ in the club with a Versace hoe. That’s what a degree from Harvard gets you. You don’t hear me though.

Dubstep, Electro | CAZZETTE vs Lana Del Rey – Video Games (CAZZETTE’S Arrows Sting Hard Mix)
Posted by Sev on November 24, 2011
What did we say about Cazzette. Four songs in one week and here they come with another dubstep banger remixing Lana Del Rey’s Video Games. The vocals in this track are sexy which help build up to a dope drop. Be sure to go like Cazzette’s Facebook to stay up to date with their releases.

Electro, Preview | Preview, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, R.I.O. ft. U-Jean, Mike Candys, & Denzal Park
Posted by W8 on November 16, 2011
Preview above sounds promising though it feels a bit out of the ordinary considering Tommy Trash’s usual schizophrenic drops that consume his track record. It made its way onto Tiesto’s set so it must have reached an echelon. Release date is set for November 21st as the video entails. As above, you should not expect anything less from what follows below. All these tracks will strike you as splashes of guranteed happiness – my personal niche of sound. The Swedes are dominating the electro scene hands down. Sweden must have an excessive amount of ley-lines running through there. They genetically breed anthems; their expectations exceed the rest of the globe in terms of electronic music. Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman from Stockholm have done a fantastic remix of Mikael Weermet’s track titled ‘Free’, who’s not living too far away in Göteborg. I’m still waiting on the release of his preview we posted earlier, which should be the finale of that segment of Adele remixes. Also, I’m a big fan of how the intro of this first track isn’t packaged with a mediocre beginning common among almost all electronic music.
Download: Mikael Weermets & Audible (feat. Max C) – Free (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Remix)
It’s almost rude that credit is not given to Avicii for his hit record Levels by how blatantly obvious the inspiration behind this track is. Inspite of that, the cheeriness does win me over.
Download: R.I.O. Ft. U-Jean – Animal (Extended Mix)
I excised out the start of this track to skip over the ever so generic intro of electronic music that you’ve heard well over a million times. Should you need the full version for whatever reason, drop me a line.
Download: Serge Devant – Sweet Harmony (Mike Candys Bootleg Rework) [W8 Edit]
I’m feeling this version a bit more than the original as it adds a little extra smile to the drop.

Hip-Hop | Chiddy Bang – Ray Charles
Posted by GMONEY on November 14, 2011
Chiddy Bang just dropped the first single off their debut album, Breakfast, which has yet to get a release date. The track samples the soul legend himself. There is actually a funny story about how the guys got their inspiration which you can read about on Rolling Stone. As for the track itself, it doesn’t have the typical electro-pop beat that we’re used to getting from Xaphoon, but the track is dope regardless.

Albums, House, Trance | Solarity
Posted by GMONEY on November 13, 2011

Solarity’s recent release, “Anjunadeep presents Solarity”, was a compilation of their best tracks to date. They have a unique way of blending trance, house, and electronic music to develop smooth progressive beats. If you need to unwind, take a seat and listen. Cop it on Beatport here. My favorite cuts from the album:
