Trance titan Dash Berlin will be joined this Saturday on the beautiful Governors Island in NYC by rising American Trance duo Tritonal and Zack Roth for an opening set. This will be an incredible night of trance you will not want to miss with the euphoric, uplifting sounds of these great Djs cascading over you as you have an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. The peak moments of the sunset combining the beauty of your surroundings with the ethereal music flooding your senses will be something you will remember for a long time. Albums, Review, Trance | Dash Berlin – #musicislife

#musicislife, what I hope to be one of the most used hash-tags today. At the moment I am writing this it is Thursday still and I am only 3 tracks in and my mind is completely blown. Dash Berlin is a legend when it comes to vocal Progressive Trance. Armada music must be celebrating this albums success already and it’s not even released yet.
Now this where I have finished listening to this album. I am completely speechless, this was one of the most incredible albums I have listened to in a long time. It is insulting for me to have any favorites from this, each track is amazing on its own. If I was held at gun point my top 5 would be ‘Better Half Of Me,’ ‘Silence In Your Heart,’ ‘Go It Alone,’ ‘Like Plates Spinning,’ and ‘Fool For Life.’ The 5 tracks cut me deep, the emotions of them are almost overwhelming which is why I chose them. To give a run down on all the different vocalists featured on this album would take ages. With that said though, it is incredible how many different great female and male vocalists were featured on this. Including the amount of artists that Dash collaborated with. From now on when people ask me for good Trance, I will just tell them to listen to this entire album.

This is an incredible new single off of Dash Berlin’s upcoming second album, ‘#musicislife,’ set to release April 27th. I love Trance, but it is hard for me to get into vocal Trance tracks. That just isn’t the case with this track. Sarah Howells voice is incredible, her cover of Dash Berlin’s work is flawlessly beautiful. Dash Berlin has been called the King of Vocal Trance, this track is a perfect example why.

Dash Berlin & Jonathan Mendelsohn follow up their hit single “Better Half Of Me” with the sequel, “World Falls Apart” and it easily lives up to the lofty expectations set by the “Better Half Of Me”. Dash Berlin is known for making great music videos and the above video for “Better Half Of Me” is a prime example of that. Look out for the sequel to the video of “Better Half Of Me” with the video for the song “World Falls Apart” next week here or just find it on the Armada youtube channel. This is a big week with releases from Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, Maor & Levi and many more. These are all great uplifting trance songs for either relaxing or cruising down the freeway. If the above video does not move you, then you need trance in your life. The video shows the healing power of Trance in Beirut, where war has torn apart the city and the country and trance helps them unite and forget the scars of the past. I could not imagine the goosebumps of dropping “Sun & Moon” for that guy, what a lucky man. Mat Zo just gave out a freebee for the holidays that was played on Above & Beyond’s Essential Mix earlier this year. It is a prototype for “Frequency Flyer” and sounds much like it, but also has a few differences. I solid production from the rising trance star.

Shogun delivers once again, with this remix of Dash Berlin’s single “Better Half Of Me”, which also got a fantastic remix from Alex M.O.R.P.H. This one has a harder synth, but keeps the great vocals and is a overall a fantastic remix from Shogun. Get it on BEATPORT.

Rafael Frost on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings delivers this smash hit that has received massive support from all the big names in the industry. It has a great synth laden build that continues into the build with some heavier bass and a guitar melody over it. If some of you are still hesitant about trance, this will be a good song for you because it is right on the line of trance and progressive house. Get it on BEATPORT.

Above and Beyond recently released another single “Every Little Beat” off of their massive album “Group Therapy” and with it the Myon & Shane 54 remix that was on Anjunabeats Vol 9. I hate to post Armin so much, but this song is too good not to be posted. This is a remix from Armin van Buuren off of the second CD on Universal Religion 5 that was not released in the US. It is another vocal trance mix that has Armin’s signature sound that is just amazing.
