Interviews, Videos | UGK 4 LIFE

Posted by on June 24, 2010

Don’t get me wrong, I love this new wave of hip-hop. I know we post it all the time. I just miss the Pimp some days. He was the realest that ever did it. When I was a freshman in college, I had an opportunity to see UGK perform in Dallas. I waited around until 12:30 and at that time they still hadn’t arrived. For various reasons, I didn’t end up staying and missed out on watching his performance for the very first time. The next week, he passed away. I’ve always regretted that night. Who knew it would be the last time he ever performed in Dallas. Hit the jump for my favorite interview of all time. Shout out to Yara.

I’ve been waiting all weekend for K&1L to drop this track. As suspected, when you combine the melodic hooks of Wynter Gordon with the signature dynamic vibe of Kinetics &  One Love, you’re left with a straight up BANGER. FNT viewers, I present you with the Graduation Song… The witty rhymes and catchy hook touch upon some of the finer things in college – if you can’t relate to this track and you’re in college, you may need to reevaluate your life as a student… UPDATE: Join their facebook fan page HERE

Albums | NaPalm – Who Knows

Posted by on May 9, 2010

As we predicted, Na-Palm has continued to take the music industry by storm. He recently signed a record deal with an independent label called Tricoastal Records and hopes to release an album with them this summer. Next fall he plans to embark upon a national college tour to  further solidify his name in the game. Sound familiar? I think so… NaPalm considers his most recent song a “heartfelt acoustic Nay/Posner remix track w/ Big Sean.”
