The trailer for EDC New York has been released. With Miami behind us, festival season inches closer with each passing week as the temperatures tease up on the thermometer. Check out the trailer for this year featuring footage from the inaugural event last year to get you ready for it on May 17th & 18th at Citi Field. There is to be a special announcement tomorrow, so stay tuned for that. Will it be the first phase of the lineup? We hope so, it is about time for some details. Events | EDC New York Venue & Dates Announced

On the road to Insomniac’s flagship event, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Daisy Carnival will return to New York for its second year, but this time with a change of scenery. EDC New York will move from Metlife Stadium at the Meadowlands to Citi Field, where people suffer through Mets games. It will take place Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18th, a departure from the 3 day format from last year and what is usually seen with EDC. Not sure why there was the change, but it is pretty disappointing seeing as Friday will probably start late and both dates will almost surely end at 11pm, so you really only have 1.5 days. Insomniac knows what it is doing, but the parking lot at Citi Field is not as big as it is at Metlife Stadium, so it will be interesting to see the layout of the stages. Tickets go on sale February 8th at 12pm EST and will be $159 for GA two day passes and $299 VIP two day passes. More info at the EDC website.
