Mark my words, Christian Deshun is going to be a force in the music industry. After having a solid release with SMPLCTY last year, he’s coming full speed ahead for his upcoming album release. Subtle Weekends will be releasing at some point this summer, and now releases the second single for that project. “Freestyle Sessions with Aaliyah” is with Forth Worth’s own Da Deputy, and returns to growing up on Lil’ Troy (“Wanna Be A Baller”) and Aaliyah. When Los Angeles Based Christian Deshun first heard To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar a weird sense drifted over him. Upon reaching “Momma”, Christian realized that K. Dot had used an instrumental that he released last year on his EP SMPLCTY. It was on a record titled “Thank You”, which was produced by buzzing producer KNXWLEDGE. But instead of it bringing him down and feeling haste, Christian had felt honored that him and K. Dot have the same ear sort of feeling as a pioneer. “If K. Dot liked this now, and I recorded this last year this sort of makes me ahead of my time as an innovator”, stated Christian.
Well two weeks after this debacle, Christian released a video titled “Undisclosed”. This was recorded at a time when Christian and his Friends where financially broke and hanging out in a decrepit building off the beaten path. But even though they were financially unstable, they were intellectually rich. The meaning “Undisclosed” came from the fact that you couldn’t find this house even if you tried, it would not register in a GPS device.
For now the future looks bright for the budding star out of LA. Hoping to put Louisiana on the map via Los Angeles he definitely carries the character, drive, and personality to attain these goals.

Damn man, Louisiana MC Christian Deshun went in this one, can someone get this MC a record deal, and a stage to rhyme on??!! Dropping visuals for his track “Thiiird.Coast.Poet,” off his upcoming mixtape, which will be his latest project since his EP SMPLCTY, Christian still has more to prove, and will not stop until the world hears his talent. I highly encourage ya’ll to keep an eye out on this talent, I have a feeling his music will not go unnoticed and will be picked up soon! This is a must listen!

Christian Deshun does it again with the release of visuals for his track “777” off his acclaimed EP SMPLCTY and if this doesn’t put him on the map, then ya’ll don’t know good hip hop. With a unique flow over a beat that’s lead by an old school saxophone top line and that Louisiana swamp swag, there’s no reason for this track not to end up on your playlist. I’ve personally had the track on repeat, feeling like a straight G, getting work done, and bouncing to it all at the same time. NWLA rapper Christian Deshun released visuals directed by Slim Vision TV for his track “NXXMB,” the first record off his mix tape SMPLCTY which is straight fire if you haven’t checked it out yet. Currently waking up on this Saturday morning to some non-chalant hip hop with the smell of breakfast in the kitchen, and life can’t get any better! With productions by Christian, Knxwledge and Tae Beast, I strongly advise all you hip hop heads check this quality project out, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a contender for best mix tape of 2014, remember you heard it here first. The homie Christian Deshun hit me up last night and asked if I wanted to premiere his latest track “Right.” and my response was ABSOLUTELY. As an ambassador to the NWLA movement, Christian landed top honors for 2DopeBoyz’s mixtape of the year in 2013, and he has no plans of slowing down in 2014. With this latest record, you’re going to hear a side of Christian you’ve never heard before: his singing voice, and it’s pleasantly nice. I’ve been keeping tabs with Deshun for about 2 years now, and his sound is always maturing, and growing in dimension.
