Tour | Crankdat Set To Bring ‘Gear Up’ Tour To Asia

Posted by on May 11, 2017

Crankdat Asia 2017 TourMan it’s crazy how quickly this up-and-comer is rising through the ranks. Christian Smith, a.k.a. Crankdat, is only 20 years old and is about to embark on his second international tour. Last summer, he flew out to Australia for a two-week run where he played alongside bass players like SNAILS and Figure, in addition to doing some headline performances. This time around, he’ll be heading to Vietnam, Thailand and China where he’ll be touching down in six key markets. The most noteworthy show is definitely his upcoming Warp Festival performance where Zeds Dead, Deorro and Excision are also taking the stage. Crankdat’s ‘Gear Up’ tour has taken him all over North America and has been a great success so far. He’s sold out shows in Chicago, Boston, New York and several others. Big congrats to this kid and I’m sure they’ll be more to talk about soon. Until then, check to see if he’s coming to a city near you!

MAKJ - Mad Max
It seems like yesterday when MAKJ hit 100,00 Facebook fans, but with success of “Countdown” alongside Hardwell and recent touring, MAKJ has doubled his Facebook total in only a few months to 200k. To celebrate he has given away a new single “Mad Max”. It samples the sounds of cars accelerating, drawing upon his youth as a professional race car driver in China, while adding his electro house pizazz and a churning, rolling bass line. You won’t want to skip out on this freebee.

Apparel | Knot Belt Co KickStarter Campaign

Posted by on January 28, 2013

Sometimes FreshNewTracks isn’t just about, well, fresh new tracks. And sometimes friends of FreshNewTracks are looking to accomplish huge feats that require help. Well this is where those two roads converge. If you’re a long-time loyal FNT fan, you may remember the gig I did about Knot Belt Co in the past. If not, you’ll get a nice introduction above/below.

Nick Manella of Knot Belts is trying to blow his side project out of the water by pushing his belts and accessories into full production mode. I’m here to help him and help you. The video will fill you in on the details, but there’s nothing like a product that has been made with passion. You can’t tell me you’d wear a belt made in China over a belt made here in the states…

If you’re feeling adventurous, charitable, or intelligent, make a pledge on KickStarter and help bring quality belts to the masses.
