All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.

Albums, Review, Trap | Brillz – Retwonked

Just a week ago, Brillz dropped a remix rendition of his Twonk LP. This release is suitably named Retwonked and is a song for song remix package (granted, there are two remixes of WTF on here), and it again takes trap style music and gives if a jet engine face wash.

Brillz is among the clan of artists that are responsible for keeping trap music – and other genres, in a less significant manner – interesting and moving forward. Mundane isn’t in this dude’s vocabulary. I love listening to Brillz mixes, and seeing him live because his music is a blast to party to. It’s trap music that’s hyped way up, and includes so many elements of different genres, that he can toss in just about anything that is high energy and it feels right at home. He brought on a bunch of remixes by his other fellow innovators for this package. The result that is unprecedented, and packed with upside-down A’s. I gave a few words about each track, as well as an EP teaser mix and a full length Brillz mix after the jump.

Trap | Skrillex feat. Damian Marley – Make It Bun Dem (Bro Safari & UFO! Remix)

I have to say that I’m absolutely sick of the horrid remixes I have been hearing of this track. I have heard so many that the original is nearly ruined for me. For the few who successfully did remix this track, I say thank you for not murdering such a great tune. Bro Safari is the don of all that is Moombahton and Trap lately and the man has provided the fans with another killer collaboration with UFO!. This Trapt out remix accompanied by some nice melodies and heavy bass did the trick for this remix.

The Moombahton underdog, Valentino Khan, unleashes another banger supported by the likes of Dillon Francis, Toddla T, Bro Safari, ETC!ETC!, Sazon Booya and more. Not many know of this amazing producer, who has been behind some big tracks in other genres that were mentioned in the previous post about him that was a collaboration entitled Rukus. Be assured you won’t be disappointed with his productions and this track is another supporter to that argument. Show the man some love and like his FACEBOOK page.

Moombahton | Bro Safari – Bros Gone Wild EP

One of the top artist in Moombahton, Bro Safari, has released his newest EP “Bros Gone Wild”. From the eye catching artwork to his unique interpretation on Moombahon, this EP is a definite must have. The EP pushes the bounds of a new style of music, because what you thought was Moombahton before you heard this EP will make you reconsider. I can’t say that I have a favorite on this EP because they are all equally diverse and appealing, but if I had to choose it would be Avalon (feat. LeDoom). The track starts off nice and smooth with a latin feeling drum and sliced vocals that slowly progresses into a ruff sounding synth Moombahton drop with a dope bounce feel to the track. This EP isn’t what you are used to hearing, but it is definitely worth the listen. Grab it on Beatport HERE.

Moombahton | Moombah Mondays

Im going to continue the random, yet awesome photo trend I have been posting this past week. Sorry to keep you guys up all night waiting for Moombah Mondays, but better late then never. First up we have none other than Bro Safari getting ready to unleash his EP “Bros Gone Wild” tomorrow. Bingo Players track Rattle was created with the perfect melody for a Moombah track. That’s why whenever I stumbled on this bass bumping Moombah remix by La’REDA I knew exactly where it was going. I was lucky enough to meet Bro Safari this past week at Dillon Francis’s show, and recently he unleashed this monster hour long Moombahton mix. I recommend every Moombahton fan download it because you won’t be disappointed. First up we have Josh Miller, back on Moombah Mondays for two weeks in a row with a remix of Bingo Players Devotion. Josh brings the bass in this remix and leaves you with no choice but to dance.
